Works out of the box
The remote for my Onkyo receiver quit working years ago and I procrastinated finding a replacement. I wasn't using the receiver for our television audio (replaced with a Bose soundbar) and decided to move it to a different room where I connect my cell phone and listen to XM. If I had known it was this easy to find a replacement remote that worked immediately out of the package I'd have done it sooner.

Replaced RC-646S
Perfect replacement for an old RC-646S remote I have that is slow to respond (need to press and hold buttons to operate). Worked perfectly out of the package: just swapped batteries and connected immediately. Didn't even require pairing to my receiver

Excellent affordable replacement
Dropped a beer and it ran over my old one. Still worked but really had to press the buttons firmly. This is great, no set up, works superbly
