Decent socks, long enough for baseball and matches his red uniform
I bought these socks to have as a second pair for my son. I often have to wash his baseball uniform late at night after a game when he will need it again for the next morning. It's nice to have a spare pair of pants, socks and athletic supporter to avoid the laundry crush - I can hand wash his uniform top and it will air dry overnight, unlike socks or pants. These are nice socks - thick enough to last a season, tall enough to protect his shins a little, and the red color was a good match for his uniform. The elastic in them is good, and the width of the calf part fit his leg well. We got them in large since my son wears a size 12 men's shoe, and they are a good fit.The price on these socks varies, depending on what color or size you order. The red ones in large were unfortunately $10.45, while the some of the others were in the $9 range. A little expensive for a pair of socks, but they are good quality.

Great socks...Please understand it's a Mizuno brand.
Very comfortable good quality socks. One of the best socks if playing baseball. Keeps cool and drys quickly.Yes, it's slightly shorter for some people. The thing people don't understand that Mizuno was predominantly a Japanese brand, I'm not trying to be racist but stating the obvious. That's why when you try on the baseball pants it seems slightly shorter and definitely has a thinner cut. The shoes will run little tighter too. My son is only required to wear the team cap and shirt. Anything else like the pants, socks, shoes & etc, can be our choice as long as meet the color requirements. So, he is slightly shorter and thinner then most kids and all the Mizuno gear fits him better. It's not just the fit, quality is very great with Mizuno. He doesn't use a Mizuno glove but the Pro Soft is made for smaller hands, one of the best gloves. One thing you can't deny is Mizuno make great quality merchandise. This might little smaller/shorter but very comfortable and great socks.

Buy 1 size up. Great socks!
Buy a size larger than you think you are. (I wear a 7 1/2 or 8 in womens shoes.) I bought Medium and they are extremely snug. I have bought another pair that is a Large and they are WAY better for me. I will be buying my 3rd and 4th pair of these socks now and I have no worries because I know these are great socks. (If you don't buy one size up you will have poor circulation though.) I am small and I don't have big legs so these socks are very tight fitting. They are great for softball! They will NOT fall down.

Gonna order more
I wear a size 11 shoe and the large fit perfect. I haven't worn them in a game so I can't comment on durability. They definitely have a lot of elasticity almost as much as real compression socks. They should save my shins from scrapes from diving and sliding for balls.Update: I've been wearing my two pair of Mizuno socks twice a week for slow pitch softball. I play SS or 2B so I do alot of sliding and they have held up well and haven't sagged down once. They have saved my shins from cuts and scrapes. I even use them as compression socks for long flights. I will be buying more in every color.

Solid Sport Socks
The sizes (in shoe size) for these socks, taken from the Mizuno website, are as follows: Small - Women: 10-6.5; Men: N/A Medium - Women: 7-10.5; Men: 4-8.5 Large - Women: 11-13; Men: 9-12.5I wear a shoe size 8 and ordered the medium. They fit well with no bagging in the heel. I have averaged sized legs (for someone 5'7"), and these socks come up to just below my knee. I ordered them for baseball, and I am able to wear my baseball pants rolled up without a problem with these socks. These socks are not too thick, but not too thin either. They feel well made. I've worn and washed them several times so far and have not noticed any deterioration in performance or color.

Softball player for 14 years
As a softball player of 14 years I can say these are my favorite socks with my uniform. I play shortstop, catcher, centerfield, and learning how to pitch. And during games while I'm sliding, these are the only socks that haven't got a hole in them yet. Most socks after I slide once a big hole is around my knee, it happens to my softball pants too.-----UPDATE----- August 4, 2016Just ordered two more pairs but in royal blue for my college team. This brand is very reliable. I just got my order 4 days earlier than expected. Very satisfied customer.

Make my legs feel like I'm 20 again!
They really do help with the leg circulation AND muscle fatigue. I wore them on a long air flight, which usually does my ankles in. Afterwards I felt like my legs could go on forever! Wore them skiing and had same results, kept my legs/feet warm without bulking up in my ski boots and I had leg energy to spare, Yee hah! They wash and dry well. My husband thought they were too tight, I guess he needs a large size or maybe he's acting like a sissy (they are difficult to put on at first, like pantyhose, but easy to pull off). Glad I have 2 colors, I could even go for more...colors and patterns! Great product!

Need better construction at the footing
I purchased these socks for my son to use for his high school baseball team. (They are purple and gold). The upper part of the socks are great. I like the "minor" compression feel. (Yes, I tried them on before giving it to my son.). However, the issue is with the lower part of the socks. It's just to "loose" and not a snug fit. If you are an athlete, you don't want your feet sliding in the socks. Considering this is called a "PERFORMANCE SOCK", I CANNOT recommend these.A better socks I found for performance and not to mention price are the "Eastbay EVAPOR Performance OTC Sock". I believe the OTC stands for Over the Calf. They also make crew length. Anyway, my son prefers the Eastbay socks over all other socks (we have Nike and others) as his foot does not slide in the sock. It's a much better/snugger fit. Also, for the price, WAY better value. I have purchased a dozen of these socks so that I can where them when I work out. (NOTE: when I go jogging, I use compression socks.)Hope this helps.
