I make sure to frequently brush out the cutting bars using the included cleaning brush to keep performance optimal.I also purchased Wahl shaver oil and apply a very small amount to the cutting bars regularly. This keeps friction with the gold foils to a minimum, helping preserve both performance and foil integrity.Maintenance is key to keeping this shaver working like new - and with proper care, I truly look forward to using this shaver for many years to come.Final Verdict: Wahl absolutely nailed it with the Vanish. It’s built for results, not gimmicks. If you’re serious about getting a top-tier super close electric shave, look no further. 100% worth every cent.Also to note - a light touch is all it takes. Let the shaver do the cutting. Anything more than a light touch could damage the thin gold foil and affect shaver performance, all you need is a light touch against the grain of growth and the hair vanishes.

After owning numerous other electric razors over the years, I can say I have now found the closest shave on the market. This is not a razor for those that shave infrequently as it will not capture 3 day stubble, but if you shave daily, this is the best razor I have ever owned. It holds a charge for well over a week and is super easy to travel with.

Probably the best version of this kind of trimmer I’ve used. Only used once so far. I will update this review if the quality is lacking over time. First impression is fantastic. There are some reviews saying it does not work but it’s obvious they don’t understand HOW to use it. You must have something between stubble and like 1/8”, any longer and it will not work right. Trim first then go over it with the Vanish.

Works OK, just not a close shave. I is called a 'Finishing; shaver and Wahl could not offer blades or foils to change that!

I usually use a Phillips one blade to trim down the longer hairs. Then I follow up with this beast. Felt like a new born baby after shaving. Great value, better than my old braun s7. Easy to clean and great battery as well!

First off, Wahl has been a reliable brand, and the Vanish shaver I bought a year ago has been a wonderful product and an outright joy to use. In fact, the Vanish performed so well that I decided to purchase another, as a gift to someone.However, as mentioned in some of the other reviews, this product seems to be "bundled" nowadays with something none of us has asked for: human hair. In an effort to give this distributor the benefit of the doubt, I opted to return the contaminated, obviously used merchandise for a clean, brand-new replacement.Amazon was so generous they decided to deliver me another bundle of the Vanish and - you guessed it! - a SECOND set of human hair! What???This shady practice of reselling obviously soiled merchandise is something beneath the Wahl brand, especially when the word "Professional" is used to market the product. As I said, this is an amazing tool, and I will look elsewhere for a clean, brand-new one. I saw the reviews warning me before I made the purchase, and I still took the chance - silly me!
