Cra-Z-Art Shimmer and Sparkle Cra-Z-Knitz Ultimate Design Set

Bought for my daughter for Christmas. Very impressed with this product, it has everything you need to get started loom knitting & items seem quite sturdy with a nice range of starter yarns. The instructions were pretty straight forward (although younger children may need some help to get going) & once you get the hang of it, it's super easy! We bought some cheap wool to practise at first just in case we got in a tangle but that didn't happen. Can't wait to check out the different stitches & patterns on the Internet (You Tube, Pinterest etc.) as there looks to be all sorts you can do. A fabulous item that you can easily progress to more challenging stitches & items on & which can be used again & again, it will also teach kids a useful skill. Would also be good for left handlers I suspect, I struggled learning traditional knitting & crochet from my Mum as she is a lefty & I'm right handed so we got in a bit of a pickle at times but this set should help stop that from happening! Would definately recommend if you love crafting &/or if you struggled to get to grips with traditional knitting on needles.

i'm an adult and I crochet and do a bit of knitting and wanted to try looming to make loads of hats & scarfs for a homeless charity, so bought this set to give it a go, it's a brilliant kit, a round loom for medium size hats and a long loom to make scarfs, the loom hook, weaving ends in needle, and quite a generous amount of yarn for a kit, there's also a small bag of embelishments, the biggest bonus is the specialised tray/table which i find very handy to use on my lap while sitting on the sofa or even in bed. Instructions for making a hat and scarf (with photos) are included kids, teens or adult should be able to follow them, i made a hat straight away in only a couple of hours! Great kit, would be a brilliant gift too.

Good quality for child to be creative

A Christmas present for my daughter (9yrs) who has been pestering for me to teach her to knit which has been pretty much impossible as she is left-handed. She loves it and was half way through knitting a handbag by the end of Boxing day. The instructions are clear enough for her to follow herself and it has kept her quiet for a good few hours. I am expecting hats and gloves next for the whole family. Its just like loom bands with wool, so straightforward.The disappointment is that instructions are not provided for all the items listed on the packaging and you have to resort to Youtube to find out more. I would have expected all the details to have been included.

I bought this for part of my daughters Christmas presents. She loved it, she is 8 and can manage with a little help to knit now. We quickly knitted up a scarf, using the wool provided and the oval loom. However, I'd say that although this product looks great the way it is packaged and presented the actual looms are of poorer quality and strength than if you were to look up and purchase individual looms at a cheaper price. I bought this one thinking that the instructions would be nice and clear for a child- which they are, and everything needed is provided, which it is. So it is a great starter set, but the pegs on the loom do begin to bend and warp a little after using it for just one item. I've found that it is easier to loom on the loom it's self rather than having it attached to the workboard that is included too, so with that in mind, if I were to buy again, I'd buy the loom, and separate wool , and show a child how to loom, rather than paying extra for pretty packaging and extra items that aren't going to be used.

This is a lot of loom for our money, we got this for £15 when in the shops it was £30. You get 2 different looms and 3 large balls of wool and a tool for weaving. Up to yet its made a scarf, hat and a headband. Lots of other creations to make with this loom you tube. The loom was larger than we expected and its good value for money and used a lot.

Very handy and kept the daughter amused - she's still using it and we're going to go shopping for some more wool tomorrow so she can make me a beanie hat! A bit fiddly, so it's designed more for older children (my daughter's 10 years old and she can just about do it okay). Some patience and concentration is required!

This is a nice toy or hobby, bought for my niece last Xmas and she absolutely loved it!
