Bring back the ETS1825 Ryobi
This was bought to replace my Ryobi ETS1825 which I've had for around 15yrs. cost wise I paid £299 for the ETS1825 and £299 for the RTS1800, by far the ETS1825 is the better saw in both build quality and size of the table bed and extends both front and side, unfortunately the ETS1825 is no longer available or I could not find one, I'm very disappointed with the quality and build of the RTS1800 it does look and feel very cheap, its a case of the old saying you get what you pay for and that said its probably better quality then other saws in this price range, I think I would be happier paying more for the ETS 1825.

brilliant for the money
after having this saw for short time and used it for several jobs I can now give my opinion, brilliant for the money, easy to use and transport stable in use very accurate, built in wardrobes, wood flooring, all no problem, obviously for large panels etc you need support at side/back/front? for keen diy++ excellent.also in conjunction with a Karcher MV4 premium vac and an adaptor from ebay connected to the exit dust port no mess all over, really pleased and recommended..

Not to Ryobi standard, don't buy
I bought this to replace the excellent Ryobi Table Saw that was 10 years old. I had left it in the damp and it got rusty and the motor jammed. Previously it was strong and robustThis one was almost the diametric opposite in every respect. The legs were thin and flimsy and each leg was in 2 parts, so it moved and wasn't stable. The rip fence didn't lock well and wasn't square with the table, it was too narrow. The controls felt cheap. I had thought the Ryobi name meant something. I have a lot of their 18V tools, which I like.I sent it back and bought a Pingtek table saw at £50 cheaper. It is so far mostly excellent.

Based on what arrived for me - absolute rubbish, plastic, broken - what's happened to the ryobi brand.
Judging by what arrived - Absolute rubbish - previous one broke after 10 years solid use. Hence I Paid Amazon extra for fast delivery because I needed it. Arrived today Sunday, and didn't work. Turned it over and see a bolt missing, then a broken screw (cheap alloy type), and almost everything made of plastic. Naturally sending it back. I will not be buying this brand again - what has happened, used to be quality, bit expensive compared to rest but reliable. Judging by this product - it's better to buy the cheap ones elsewhere, they look more sturdier. I wonder if someone bought the brand name and stuck the label on their cheap products.

Quality Costs !!!!
Ok so my dad used to say to me Son quality costs. so if you buy cheap you will buy twice. He was right of course........... So I brought this for my home workshop because I am self employed and skint due to lockdown. The unit arrived and I began the assembly using the manual which is dismal faint greyscale pictures that are to small. But its not rocket science so logic will win.The process was nearly stopped because one of the bolt holes connecting table to stand was not threaded at all (Have my own Taps & Dies) how to attach safety guard was not clear at all as book did not show complete sequence.Upon first inspection I notice some scuffing and scratches to some paint work, but hell its going to get scratched anyway. The actual saw is not very powerful when cutting harder woods and the blade is to thick and duller than an episode of Miss Marple. In terms of actual use its ok easy to understand setting controls and will 99% of jobs for the above average DIYer.If your on sites all day then you wont even consider this unit you know what's what already. So as much as I have slagged this unit off its because my uses are more demanding than the average

Built to fail
Out of the box I was very impressed, the saw and fence etc all feel well made. Mines never had excessive use, then when cutting some hardwood flooring the blade dropped. The mechanism is a hardened steel 12mm threaded rod that runs through a soft metal alloy where it mounts to the motor. The hard threads have chewed up the soft metal. Required drilling and helicoil to repair, tried to buy spare parts but Ryobi customer care was very poor. Wouldn’t buy again

Five Stars
Even better than I thought it would be, just right for a small workshop.

Disappointing Build Quality
I ordered this because I borrowed an earlier version. This new one is like a Fisher Price toy in comparison. It cuts okay, but the legs and plastic fittings are really inadequate. This is not built to last, should have paid extra for a proper one.
