Mega Bloks Minions Castle Adventure Building Set

This set is loosely based playset of the Tower of London scenes from the 2015 Minion movie and is just fantastic! From it's castle external appearance to the feature filled interior, this is a fantastic piece.At over 700 pieces, this set is worth the RRP price of £71.99 (the rule is 10p per piece), however the massive reductions this set can recieve certainly do help the pockets, especially considering the set's finished size. While 'big', I'm unsure wether it's '£70 big' especially compared to some Mega Bloks Halo sets of that pricepoint.The instructions are split into two manual sections and each tower is then broken up as an individual piece making it a rather simple construction method. I'm unsure of why people are claiming to struggle with the set when it's all clearly laid out in the manuals. IT ISN'T HARD! I've been building things like this since the age of 4 in the 90's and some of the Lego sets I've had have posed more an issue than this! Seems like the typical 'competitor hate' towards Mega Bloks is present once more (for no valid reason).This set uses some fantastic parts which have great potential for building whatever the imagination can think of, but even as a set, not only does the item work well as a Minion playset, but also of that as an Assassin's Creed castle or Call of Duty structure- other Mega Bloks lines this would be fantastic for!Features wise, you get a jail, throne room, safe, zipline, trap door and castle towers as key standouts which are great to both build and play with.My only 'issue' with this set, are the redesigned hinge pieces on the fold out door sections. While I understand the redesign (to allow easier building for kids), the hinges do not provide enough friction as their previous incarnations, so the towers can fold out on their own quite freely if the set is moved, causing them to sometimes rip off the hinges that could cause damage to the hinge pieces in the long run. A catch mechanism to keep the doors closed would have worked well, but this is a minor flaw that probsbly won't affect most people.Overall, you get a well constructed set, that has easy instructions, great parts, the three main Minions as figures and great features overall. Highly worth the price for any age minion or mega bloks fans!

Do not buy this product if you value your sanity. Takes an age to put together and really isn't worth the effort. Rubbish. Total waste of money.

It was a birthday present for my 6yr oldgrandson. He loves it. It will give him 1 to 1 time with his father. Not sure if there are very small parts as it was not opened in my sight. The packing was very good.

Great castle. 7 year old son loves it.

my sonnets desperate for this for Christmas and found the best price on amazon. it is good and he loves playing with it but... it's very small which isn't the impression given on box and adverts. also there's no way any 5 year old could build this alone I ended up building this for him after he tried for half an hour and it took me 4 hours!!! it is overpriced for the size of it but he does enjoy playing with it. although it can be played with its not as sturdy as normal mega blocks and parts do come away quite easily to be honest

There is no way this toy could be build by a child of under 10 and a child of 10 to 13 probably would not have the patience. My grandaughter IOf 17 has spend 5 to 6 hours building this toy. Once built it is sturdy. I think the age of recommendation for this toy should be 10. We are not impressed.

Kids loved it

Half way through building and one of the main parts is missing. This has never happened yet its one of the biggest pieces there so has stopped us from being able to complete building it. Shocking!!

This Mega Bloks set is wonderful. Up until this point we have only ever purchased legos. My husband and I were both concerned with the quality. I would say they aren't "quite" legos, but so very close. The instructions are definitely not as well put together as lego instructions. Our son who is 7 and is a lego fanatic would normally be able to put a set like this together with little to no help however in this case needed quite a bit of help due to the fact that the pictures and descriptions in the instructions are confusing at times.Once this is put together it is a very well constructed toy with lots of great features. It has provided hours of entertainment for our 7 and 4 year old sons! Will definitely purchase more and just be prepared to help build the projects more than we normally would with Legos :)

Bel gioco, i personaggi sono fedeli, le stanze del castello ed i dettagli sono ben fatti ed il risultato, una volta montato, è davvero carino. L'unico neo che posso trovare è che i pezzi a volte fanno un po' fatica ad incastrarsi a differenza dei Lego, ad esempio, che in genere combaciano perfettamente. Non è comunque stato difficile da montare (se togliamo l'elevato numero di pezzi, ma a quello ero preparata vedendo le dimensioni del gioco) e mio figlio si diverte molto a giocarci. Arrivato nel tempo previsto.
