Badger Ordnance1-Piece 1.4in Extra High Alloy 30mm Unimount (306-97),Black

Fantastic scope mount. Mounted on a Tikka T3x TAC A1, wanted a 20 MOA unit rather than swap the stock base rail out and this works perfectly as a precision rifle mount. Not a real 'cantilever' mount, it is slightly offset but not as obvious as some rail uni-mounts. Seems extremely sturdy and very well machined, fits a standard rail extremely well and my 30mm tube is very snug in it. Took it out this past weekend and my expectations were far exceeded, had no hiccups with any parts coming lose, seemed to be very steady shooting 100-300 yard groups. Its hard to obviously tell how much accuracy is gained with a scope mount but I previously had a set of Leupold Mk IV rings and I can definitely tell that I'm getting tighter groups and better long range consistency.My only complaint is that it wasn't extremely obvious which direction was the front of the unit which does matter in this case since it does have a 20 MOA cant. Didn't come with instructions or specs really, not that you truly need many but its nice to know the recommended torque for the rail nuts, do they recommend loctite, etc. After scouring the Badger Ordnance website I didn't find much either, called their customer service and got all the answers, the raised portion is the front and I believe they recommended 60 inch/pounds of torque for the nuts. I opted for a very small amount of blue loctite on the scope screws but judging by the sturdiness and quality machining of this unit I honestly doubt for most situations it is necessary.

Solid and light weight mount, can't find any non-canted one piece mounts with 20 MOA for anywhere close to this price or quality... The only negative feature I could find is that there are no steel thread inserts for the cap screws... But properly tensioned I haven't had any problems. This mount is the 1.4" tall mount and I am running a Vortex PST II 5-25x50mm objective scope adn it clears the front rail of my LWRC REPR, but I had to remove the BUIS because of the clearance of my scope and 1.4" mount, I actually preffer the lower position myself. I am not sure if a 56mm objective scope will clear an AR-10 style platform and would recomend getting a 1.5" tall mount.In all this was a great deal and I would recomend this item to anyone looking for a precision mount for half the price as other top brands.

Great mount, well made, would buy again!

I'm very happy with this unit mount. This went on a varmint type upper receiver for AR-15, and is the perfect height for a Bushnell Elite Tactical 6-24 power rifle scope. I have used more expensive mounts, and if money was no object, would use SPUHR mounts on everything. Having said that, this mount is about half the price, and is a very nice mount for a precision rifle. Extremely satisfied overall. I do wish the Badger Ordnance mounting instructions were a little more clear on the inch pounds of torque for the mount and rings. The information is there, but is general for all rings and not specific to the mount.

Im running this mount on my tikka tac a1 with a vortex pst 5-25x50 gen II. it gives me about 1/8" clearance between my objective and handguard which is ideal. Extremely solid mount from an extremely reputable brand.
