I collect Dragons : this chess set is magnificent !It is difficult to recognize the different pieces of the game : this increases the difficulty ... :-)Happy New Year from Belgium

I got this as a present, and it's just fantastic!! The dragon figures are so beautifully made (of resin!) and so are the corner pieces. It is very well-protected when you receive it and makes it safe to store- so keep the packaging!! The glass is really strong ;and beautiful. The frosted parts don't look cheap. This is very well made! I am so happy with it. The pieces are very good to play with as well. This absolutely doesn't just have to be decoration.The one funny practical issue that came up, was that the grandparents were losing games to the children due to the fact that they couldn't decipher which figure was which (and in many cases, ended up in checkmate for mistaking the king for a pawn!)Apart from this, it was a GREAT purchase and I would highly recommend, although it is nice to have a very unusual chess set which everyone goggles at- I wouldn't want it to become a common sight.

Bought as gift.Lovely glass board, I was hoping the figurines would be more marble looking but nice none the less.

my daughter is absolutely delighted with the dragon chess set which i bought as part of her Christmas presents. Its the one thing she has posted on Facebook as her favourite present.Both of us couldn`t be more delighted with this beautiful set.

Whilst the set is nice in principle, it has some fundamental flaws. Except for the pawns the pieces have a high centre of gravity so topple easier than a regular chess piece. The set comes without a storage case so we have it out as a display when not using. However, on the few occasions that pieces have been knocked over they invariably break on contact with the floor so already several of the dragons have surgically reattached ears, wings and even heads. Invest in some gorilla glue if you want this set.Furthermore, there is not enough distinction between some of the pieces. The king and queen are not fundamentally different enough. Plus the knight and bishop look too similar, especially from behind. The main difference being one holding a bible whilst the other has a sword but apart from that, they are easy to confuse which leads to mistakes being made in the game. The set is nice and wish it was perfect but the pieces need to be made from more resilient material and greater distinction in the design of the critical pieces to avoid disappointment, especially considering the cost.

Very nice Chess set, worth every penny.

Exactly what I was looking for

The pieces damage easily and are not as detailed as they look in the picture. Not impressed considering the price!
