The best phone I ever had

By far the best choice for anything you can do with a smartphone
Got the Mate Pro 10 on the first day changing up from a Samsung seven edge. Very fast and responsive. Initial thoughts were of being bamboozled by a lack of a home button but that soon passed. Screen is only marginally less bright and detailed from the Samsung but you barely notice the difference. Supercharge is a key selling point. One hour for a full day. I have been trying out functions all weekend and one charge per day is sufficient. All my apps are quicker on this new phone. Video plays perfectly. Phone quickly switched automatically between WiFi and mobile internet all day. It's the little additions that show the thought that's been put into this phone. I had no idea the Huawei came with the screen protector in place and with a case. No headphone jack but it has a USB C adapter dingle. The earbuds that come with it are the only low point being tinny and utterly disappointing. This phone is by far the best choice for anything you can do with a smart phone. Check out the latest reviews and you're sure to find they are all 5 out of 5 or 10 out of 10. A winner.

Solid phone, with a nice brown touch
This phone was announced in late 2017, but has been in UK for about a month and a half now.Screen -This Full HD plus screen is good. Fairly crisp and failry vibrant. The size of screen is 6.0 inches diagonally.. This is a AMOLED screen. Has Corning Gorilla Glass for protection.Build Quality-Very good. In par with The latest Samsung, Apple phones and Google Pixel phone. Non removable back.Design-Lovely, sleek design.Sound-Loud and clear. No issues, specially for a phone. Not as powerful as the dual speakers of some other phones. But then its in par with the Samsung Galaxy S8 series and Iphone 7 plus. Has no headphone jack, like the latest iPhones (why, oh why?)Responsiveness-Very good, no lag at all. Have not had any issues so far with sluggishness or re-starts etc. However, some android phones get marginally slower after about 6 months of use, and the Huawei, is no exception.4GB or 6GB RAM is there, and that is more than adequate.Added features-Micro SD slot is available to expand memory upto 256GB. But inbuilt 128GB storage is more than adequate for photos etc, as well as movies if you fancy. This phone is NOT water and dust (IP68) resistant.Cameras-Very good dual 20MP+12MP lens back camera.Very good photos in good daylight. Very good low light photos, and in par with the Samsung Galaxy S8 series. The cameras are Leica branded. The front camera is good a single 8MP camera. It takes good selfies but nothing exceptional. I feel they are better than the Galaxy S8 though, so if you want a phone for your selfies, this is a phone to consider (atleast at the time of writing).Guarantee-Huawei has 2 year manufacturer's warranty on the phone, and they are pretty good. But then it has to be bought through an authorised reseller. However, if it's fulfilled by Amazon, you would still have 1 year warranty from Amazon.Battery-A big 4000 mAH battery. There is a quick charge function, which charges the phones upto 58% in 30 minutes.Operating System-Runs Android 8.0 (Oreo) out of the box (yay!), but the Huawei’s version of Android (EMUI 8.0) may not be everyone’s cup of tea though. For starters, there is no app draswer, similarly to the iphone. Some app icons looks a bit immature. The OS is very customizable, unlike iphones. There is machine learning, which can be helpful, but at this stage it’s a bit of gimmick. Maybe, few years later, we would see the true potential.Security features-Fingerprint sensor- very accurate, positioned in the back. Nothing extra-ordinary here though.Colour-It currently comes in Midnight Blue, Titanium Gray, Mocha Brown, Pink Gold. Most UK sellers only have the Titanium Grey version. I like the fact that the front bezels also gets the color treatment, rather than being just black in Samsung phones.Price-Currently goes at RRP £699, but I feel this is steep for a Huawei phone.
