Perfect amp for gigging and studio
I really am glad that I bought this amp. I had the luxury of trying out someone else's and I instantly fell in love with its size and sound.I bought an extra pedal with 3 switches so I could have the availability of 2 tone prints and a mute. It works out great for that situation. My only complaint is that the built in tuner which I was thankful to have onboard are great for the musicians who play and tune in standard tuning. Our country band tunes down a half step and I use a 5-string bass guitar and I can't use the on board tuner easily. That is a bummer, but I just use my snark clip-on tuner like I have for years so it's not a deal breaker and honestly doesn't bother me much. That's my story!

Best bang for More bucks than this.
I bought this for my son to use on top of a Dave Edens bass cab from 30 years ago. I had seen reviews that said best bang for the buck. I was VERY surprised by the sound, the effects package, and the size.I used to play through an Ampeg (in the old days) this sounds just as good as I remember my old rig sounding. The Tone print effects are out of this world, you put an app on your phone, and pick a setting and hold it over the pickup and a Modem chirp sets the amp up for the new effect. It was really cool, playing with some chorus? "Squueek Squawk Squeeee," and now you have chorus. Want an octave higher or lower? "Squeee, Squee, Chirp, Chirp," and you have an octaplier. Finally, did I mention its size? the whole thing fits in my sons backpack. I don't have to by a van to move his gear around!!!I cannot rate this any higher

Great Micro head
I love this amp so much. EQ is 'smart' and allows a lot of tone control. Pre-amp boost for my passive bass. The toneprint feature is not just a gimmick. It allows me to play with a tone of pedal sounds i probably wouldn't be exposed to otherwise.I use the amp with a TC RS212 cabinet and it produces a great amount of sound and volume as an on-stage monitor and would be fine for a small to mid venue. The DI output of the amp lets me use the speakers as monitor and output (with post-eq and toneprint) to the PA systems. I bought the pedal which allows for 2 tone prints and a mute. The versatility is amazing for such a small package. I can't recommend it enough. I will only replace it when I upgrade to the TC BH800 and add more speakers.

Funky bright little amp!
Not bad! funky little amp. Extremely fun to fiddle with the effects, although not that useful when comparing to dedicated pedals. DI output sounds punchy and creamy, but plugged to a cabinet, is a bit more clinical bright, modern sounding. Being a GK amp user for decades, and used to Neve consoles for recording, considering the price the little BH250 is great bang for the buck, but when it came to deliver moderate volumes, it seemed it feel like it is protecting itself all the time, not that limiter-compressor sound, not the spectra comp, something in the circuitry that smartly optimizes your volume but not your sound. Ultimately returned and bought a Aguilar Tone Hammer, and now I'm satisfied; but consider that it is double the price. Maybe if you have small jazz gigs, the BH250 may be ideal for you. Not for me.

tc electronic 250W D class head is a terrific piece of equipment.
This an amazingly powerful head. I have it matched with a BBC 300W cabinet. It makes an impression regardless of house size. Will compete with any other member of a band and punish them LOLMute switch is perfect for the tuning part of the head. Also, the ability to add Tone Print while you play through the pick ups is an exceptional value added option.

Buy a speakon cable too!
Great little amp. Tons of punch and the tone print is amazing.USB connection to my Mac Book Pro didn't work for uploading toneprints, but the iPhone method worked perfectly.Somewhere, this company found speaker connectors that ONLY accept Speakon connectors. Your 1/4" cables WILL NOT WORK. If you don't have any speakon connector cables, buy one when you order this. If you play out, get a spare since nobody will have a cable to loan you should it go belly up. I had to go to 3 different music stores before I found a single speakon adapter cable. Definitely not widely available, at least not in small guitar shops. While I'd still highly recommend the amp, the speakon only connector is lame.

I am very pleased with this little amp.
I am very pleased with this little amp. I'm using it to drive 2 10"s in vented cabs. The amp doesn't brake a sweat. Phones jack and mp3 player jack is great for late-night practice. Amp is small enough to just drop in a gig bag. The onboard effect thing is kind of a gimmick to me - you can only load, and use, one at a time so unless it's a core effect to use in all of your settings, it's not going to be gig-useful. Aside from that, great amp!

So Close to Perfection!
Great sounding little unit, I've run it through several cabinets and it is consistent through a single 15", a 4x10", a 2x12" and even through my 2-15"/2-10" Ampeg HD-50L...Weight was a huge factor in this purchase, I already have two good rigs, but loved the idea of no longer breaking my back hauling them around for small jams/gigs. Excellent tone and control, and the Toneprint tech is a plus, though a phase-shift effect would have gotten TC Electronic that 5th star out of me. I highly recommend the BH-250 to anyone who wants a doitall rig and doesn't do large rooms or colluseums.
