UPDATED REVIEW (5/19/23):EDIT: I will leave my original review at the bottom for reference purposes, but the game is now in what I would consider a playable (still not optimal state) and I have finished the main story in that state, and will leave my review on it now.So, I 100% agree with what other reviewers have said about the ambition of this game when compared to it's predecessor, it takes everything from Fallen Order, multiplies it by 3, and makes it so so much better. However, while some things definitely get better, some does get worse, which is why I'm breaking this down into section by section.STORYAlright, I'm gonna come out and say it: The story writing for this game was better than arguably half of star wars content that comes out today. I'm not saying that to dock the other stuff, but this story was top notch. It was extremely hard to predict, offered a decent (but not too overwhelming) amount of fan service, and kept me emotionally invested in all of the characters in the story. I will leave some thoughts with spoilers below, but if you don't want them just know that the writing is top notch and will not disappoint you.MAJOR SPOILER THOUGHTS ON STORY (Spoilers end after the next set of *******):*******I really liked the very beginning of the game and how they kind of set the stage for the rest of everything. At the very front you get introduced to cals new crew, learn more about all of them, get some backstory, throw some jokes, and then in the first hour or so of the game, they are all brutally murdered by an inquisitor. It jump starts cal's character development, setting up how much he is going to lose in the process of trying to "survive"Next up: the Romance between Merin and Cal was something that pretty much everyone wished to see in the game and I'm glad it made it in, but I feel like it was a little bit too overworked. The second that the first kiss happened all of the dialogue from in game characters (who didn't even know about the events) suddenlly changed to "You like merrin huh?" "Consider spending some time with her" "I see that look in your eyes". It got slightly annoying as time went on, but nothing too bothersome. One thing that I do need to give massive props too is the character development of Dagan. From the first encounter they did an awesome job of building him up to be the "big baddie" and kept me wanting to learn more and more about how he thought things through. At this point if you don't want spoilers and still are chosing to read, I am once again begging you TO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING SECTION: Cere died, but in the best possiblle way they could have. Having her fight Darth Vader, while not making Darth Vader the "main villain" of the game, really built up her redemption arc, and I am extremely satisfied at the way they handled her character development and death.SOOOOOOOOO for the big one here: Never would I have ever guessed that the new character (Bode) was actually a spy all along, and a jedi that had turned to the dark side. It was impossible to guess and when all of a sudden the person that you have grown to love throughout the entirety of the game turns around and goes SIKE, it really hurts, legitimately had my jaw drop. I do wish that he would have turned back around and changed his mind at the end, the character was an awesome one that I would have wished to see stay in the next iteration of the game.*******GAMEPLAY & COMBATI have a love hate relationship with the gameplay mechanics of jedi survivor. I played through the entirety of the game on Jedi Master, but the difficulty didn't feel quite right. The regular enemies felt pretty hard (as they should have), but lots of the bosses felt easy, almost too easy. Some of the bosses could be less forgiving and have the parry window minimized on this difficulty level. Additionally, I think that some of the bosses attacks should be explained a little bet better, specifically those that have "air throw" attacks. As for the new lightsaber stances, I LOVE THEM. Adding the extra stances to the game gives you a whole bunch of extra customization options and allows you to customize the game to your style. The game does spoon feed you each stance one by one, but you unlock all of the stances before the halfway point in the game, which is nice. The skill trees in the game do encourage you to kind of pick 2 stances and stick with them though. On the subject of skill trees, I love the extra amount of customization they offer, but I feel as if it was a little bit too overwhelming. I almost always focused on my survival and lightsaber skills, and didn't touch some of the force skills. Concentration and mind control just didn't feel all that useful in the game, so I largely neglected those trees.Overall, I would say that the gameplay is pretty good. If you like dodging attacks and swinging lightsabers, you will be satisfied.PERFORMANCE:This is what needs to be talked about still. As I mentioned during my original review, the game came out Completely broken at launch. Weekly patches have significantly improved things to where the game is in a playable state without stuttering and without blurriness with FSR enabled, but there are still issues in the Main World, Koboh, that on occasion will cause my FPS to drop to 45-50 when in the open world. However, I don't think it's because my computer can't handle it. As of 5/19/23 the game still is struggling to utilize system resources properly. My GPU usage normally hovers around 60-70 and my CPU usage around 70, which shows that is not getting all of the power that it can out of it. For context, I am playing with 1080p on high settings with FSR set to balanced (Although, I have noticed that swapping between FSR versions does not do all that much to help framerate) on my RTX 2070 and Ryzen 5 3600 (slightly below rec spec) with 32 GB of RAM.I fully expect the remainder of the issues to be ironed out over the next couple of weeks, but I simply can't ignore the fact that they were there in the first place and still continue to linger in certain spots of the game.----Overall Survivor is a serious GOTY contender for me, with an awesome story and fantastic gameplay that builds upon it's predecessor and is sure to make any Star Wars fan happy. 9.2/10, mainly because of performance issues.----Original Review:I want to love this game so much. From what I have seen of it, the content of the game is fantastic and and excellent continuation to the original However, as of Day 1, due to some optimization issues, the game is absolutely unplayable on lots of PC's. I'm running an RTX 2070 and a Ryzen 5 3600, and will get lots of stutters, frame drops, and audio sync issues. FSR is borked as well. As of day 1, DO NOT expect to play this game.Should the game be updated with performance fixes (as promised in the coming weeks) I will update this review, but as of right now it's a hard NO!

Everything you'd want and more from a sequel to Fallen Order
As the title says, it's just as exciting if not more so than Jedi: Fallen Order as the story has increased in scope. Activated on steam very easily, purchased on amazon because I have so many gift card redemptions I haven't used yet. Also, apparently there's a percentage of players experiencing a performance bug on the PC version which is being addressed in a future patch so you may want to keep an eye on that before purchasing if you're concerned about whether or not it will run well on your PC.

The game worked. There were a couple of bugs, and once I turned overdrive off, work great.

Fantastic Game!
This game is the best video game that I have ever played. The gameplay is better than JFO. I highly recommend this game. As time goes along, the performance will only get better. I played for over two hours and did not have one single issue w/ performance. It was simply amazing. My specs on my PC are... Ryzen 9 5800X, 64GB RAM, 3060 Nvidia and M.2 P5 2TB drive. No issues at all. When you fire up the game, it takes the time to analyze your PC performance and then it sets the settings in the game to make sure that the game is played at its highest level that your PC can handle. Now get out there and cut up some imperial trash... :)

it works
I have this game through the EA launcher, i haven't had any issues with performance.then again i am running a high end PC.. Ryzen 9 7950x and Geforce 4070ti.I would recommend that you have higher end equipment to play this as other equipment wont be optimized for it.
