The peak of weekly Jojo’s.
As for the book’s condition from Amazon, it’s what you’d expect. Pretty great, some slight imperfections. Notice in the first image the dent in the bottom left of the cover. But arrived super fast and for a great price. What’s inside is most important to me, my own books often get worn from use so I don’t particularly mind. And for the art itself, the print is incredible. I’ve included an extremely zoomed in picture of Jolyne’s boot to illustrate just how high quality the image is. You can see every single stroke of the pen, even the most minute details. This is incredibly important for a manga like this which uses a lot of crosshatching, and generally consists of a lot of detail. Viewing the images online doesn’t do it justice, in my opinion. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is a series that was drawn entirely on paper, it’s a physical media based manga and is best experienced as such. There’s quite a few colored illustrations too, and they’re all gorgeous and vibrant. These hardcover editions by Viz Media are absolutely the definitive way to experience Stone Ocean. And what an experience Stone Ocean is. This is the beginning of Part 6 in the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure saga. It’s a standalone story (kinda) with a mostly original cast and the only female Jojo (protagonist) in the series. If you are already familiar with the rest of the series, this part will become even more amazing. It doesn’t rely on cheap fanservice, but it adds depth to the material that came before it, embracing its origins and creating something very special. Simultaneously, it is also remarkably strange, even by the rest of the series’ standards. If you’re a fan of action manga that combine brutal death battles with confounding abilities and scenarios, layered on top with characters who give memorable and long speeches about their philosophy and outlook on life, then Stone Ocean is absolutely the best in this regard. Stone Ocean is so committed to each one of these goals, it’s really commendable. The claustrophobic setting of a prison seemed to inadvertently cause the characters and scenarios to become stranger in return, in other words, the author of this story began thinking further outside of the box when his characters were trapped inside of one. However, Stone Ocean is a slow burn. But savor it, because this story only continues to ramp up and up. Gradually climbing higher, higher stakes, crazier scenarios, the characters indulging in even more gravitas similes, the complexity of each opponents’ abilities becoming increasingly puzzle-like, the plot continuing to spiral into this beautiful insanity. This manga is one that’s close to my heart. If any of this sounds interesting to you, then don’t pass up the opportunity to experience this story in the best way possible, through these physical volumes.

The character for a female protagonist is a bit different
But you see a feminine side as well as her drive like her father
