Can this be used as a drill? Seems to be a screwdriver (only)

Hi it can be used as a light drill but standard bits won’t fit , you need Hex drill bits . I haven’t personally used it as a drill but there are video clips on YouTube being used . Probably ok for wood & plastics mild steel 3mm max with a decent bit . It is a good bit of kit perfect for my needs RC models . I hope this helps

Lowest torque setting?

Would do up the finest of precision screws on the lowest setting without stripping the threads

If the trigger is pulled gently does the spindle rotate slower?

No. The DF012DSE just has two switches (clockwise and anticlockwise) rather than a trigger - and these are simply on or off switches. It does have two speeds though.
