Huawei LTE-Dongle (100 Mbps) für Huawei E398-u1 4G EE

This is a superb LTE dongle, and works perfectly with both the Vigor 2850N and 2860N routers. This is in the UK on EE contract. This pretty near triples the signal strength! We used it at an indoor exhibition on our stand at the Ricoh arena in Coventry recently, and we had maximum signal strength and incredible data speed. The device works well, but it takes too much space when plugged in, so no other device has room besides it.

the device has a good speed,but overheating in all time. I have to remove the cover and put on custom case with one small fan.

Got it to work as the second WAN on a synology router without additional drivers but the software included for PC or Mac is for Polish networks and language. If you just want to use it as a second WAN modem for your network then the language thing doesn’t really matter.

A device to be avoided... in fact, buyers should avoid Huawei devices in general. I bought this to provide a standby Internet connection for my Draytek router, this device being one that is specified as compatible for use directly with the USB socket on the router... it works, but I noticed when it arrived that the firmware version was quite old, and naturally looked on the Huawei support site for a firmware upgrade.I was astonished to learn that Huawei do not provide firmware upgrades for their products via their support site, and when I queried this by e-mail, their support staff not only confirmed this, but also warned me that flashing it with third-party firmware would void the warranty!Given that this is a standby rather than intended for regular use, I've decided not to pursue this further, but as you might have guessed, as a manufacturer Huawei just landed itself in the "Do not touch this crap with a bargepole" category... you have been warned!Also, it only connects to the local 4G mast in "EDGE" mode ay under 1Mbps... the same SIM card in a phone runs at 45 Mbps... :-(

Works most of the time, but drops connection frequently, and gets less than half the speed I get by putting the sim in an android phone and using the tethering on that.

Works well with EE sim card and the Huawei E398u-1 works with the Draytek 2860 Router when plugged into the USB port

It's not bad but won't work with the TP-LINK TL-MR3020 Portable 3G/4G Wireless Router I also bought from Amazon. :-( Do your research before buying.

Fonctionne bien sur mon raspberry pi pour faire une passerelle 4G. Possibilité de relier une antenne externe. Par contre, elle est un peu grosse et bloque le port USB en dessous.

Peccato che il software sia solo in Svedese ed Inglese. Seppur brandizzato dalla TeleTu di quel paese, il mobile partner risulta configurabile per l'utilizzo con qualsiasi altro operatore. L'ho acquistata per collegarla al router 4g TL-MR3420 di TP-Link. La chiavetta viene riconosciuta, ma non si collega ad Internet. Dopo mille tentativi, aggiornamenti Firmaware tp-link e macumbe varie, ho deciso di restituire sia la chiavetta sia il router e puntare su un sistema più semplice; un router con codem 4g onboard. Se volete usarla da sola è ottima, se pensate di collegarla ad un router, cercate altro. Molto probabilmente la colpa era del TL-MR3420 e non della chiavetta, ma nel dubbio....PS: ho letto in giro della possibilità di aggiornare il Firmware, ma non saprei come. Sul sito ufficiale Huawei, il modello sembrerebbe non esistere; non ho trovato il minimo accenno.

Der Huawei E398 ist ein LTE (4G) Stick der neuen Generation. Er schafft bei mir locker 60-70Mbit Download wenn das Netz gut ist (nachts). 3G/2G kann er natürlich auch, aber wer will das schon wenn doch LTE (4G) zur Verfügung steht. Ich habe meinen seit Mitte 2014 und er funktioniert noch immer tadellos. Er wird zwar etwas warm, aber das stört nicht. Wenn man ihn in Kombination mit einem Router betreibt dann kann man einfach einen kleinen Lüfter daneben stellen. Es gibt die von Mumbi um 10 Euro und im Sommer helfen die auch dem Router und dem Stick wenn man den Ventilator auf beide ausrichtet. Oder man findet einen der regelbar ist und so ist es dann auch schön leise.Beim anstecken über USB, wird automatisch das Laufwerk installiert und da findet man auch die Software "Mobile Partner". Mit der klappte es auch auf Anhieb. Alternativ gibt es ja das altbekannte MWConn. Das ist eher etwas für fortgeschrittene Anwender oder jemanden der etwas neues ausprobieren möchte. Man muss die Software vor dem Start zuerst ein bisschen konfigurieren wie zb. eine Netzwerkverbindung einrichten und den Anbieter auswählen und dann kann es schon los gehen. Das MWConn hat gewisse Vorteile gegenüber einer mitgelieferten Software. Es kann zb. präziser die Signalstärke in % anzeigen und das mit akustischem Signal im Vollbild. So kann man den Stick im Notebook lassen und die beste Richtung finden bzw. das Notebook in die Richtung ausrichten wo man den besten Empfang hat.VGMBSpider

Sin lugar a dudas lo que necesitaba, no cabe duda que es compatible con el hardware que uso y no todo ha funcionado correctamente.

All'inizio sembrava veramente un buon prodotto, connessione veloce e stabile e prendeva anche nei punti con meno campo... ma poi improvvisamente non ha più funzionato, non si collegava più, senza motivo dopo averla tenuta ascesa per 3 giorni circa....
