Senville 5L Top-Fill Humidifier for Home, Large Capacity Cool Mist Humidifier, BPA Free, Ultrasonic

My old humidifiers got moldy and were impossible to clean even with vinegar or bleach. I got a sinus infection from the mold! This one loads from the top and is easily cleaned. It is also attractive and quiet. The only possible disadvantage is that it needs purified water. So I just pour it in from my Britta water filter and that seems fine. I have to buy a bigger Britta.This does not leak and does not leave water anywhere near it on the floor or on furniture. I bought a second one.

Update: I'd had this product less than 3 months when I noticed that, when I carried the reservoir to the sink to refill it, water would leak freely from the bottom. Along with this, the bubbling sounds coming from the humidifier had intensified in volume to where I sometimes had to turn it off to sleep. After a regular cleaning session, the issue improved for awhile but then returned. Just a couple weeks ago, I accidently bumped the dresser on which the humidifier was sitting, and my eye caught moving water. I looked closer, and the plastic tray in which the humidifer sat - thank goodness it was in a tray! - was holding about 1/4 inch of standing water. The humidifier reservoir was about half empty. I had to leave for work, so I just placed the reservoir in the tub before I left. When I returned home, the entire reservoir had leaked out into the tub. I have initiated a return with Amazon and shipped the unit back to them. Am currently shopping for a replacement. Ironically, my other humidifier - which appears to be the same exact model but is branded differently, still does great after 15 months of ownership. I don't know if this Senville was just a defective one, or if this line just isn't as good as the other one.-----Original review: This humidifier does an amazing job. It has a humidistat, by which it auto-shuts off when the desired humidity level is reached. It makes a very low humming sound and sometimes a bit of bubbling which, to me, is relaxing white noise. The blue light provides a nice soft glow or can be turned off, so that there is no light at all coming from the humidifier. I especially love that it has no filter! This saves so much money over the long run. Cleaning is fairly easy - there are a few places that I find hard to reach, but as long as you clean it frequently enough to prevent build-up, this is not a problem. This is my second humidifier of this type, and I am very happy. Similar humidifiers are SO much more expensive and, quite honestly, probably not as user-friendly as this one! Very satisfied with my purchase :)

A very well made unit. Cant beat the price on this! Holds a fair bit of water and BONUS it is "Top Fill" Strong plastic, I am confident wont break. Beautiful sleek look. Hidden controls make it look very stylish. Love the top clear part (has a cool spiral effect inside) Love the light at night. The water output is rotatable to where you want the mist output to go. No water level gauge!! If you need to know the water level a quick removal of the lid will show you that, I was thinking that might be what's missing on the unit, BUT then thinking more about it then that would change the beauty of its appearance. Gotta say I Love This unit and my plants do too! Thanks Senville! = 3 WEEKS LATER = Working great, has a small noise but doesnt bother me while sitting in my plant room.

A bit noisy when first turned on, but otherwise, great product.

My baby's and my nose were always dry and we were mouth breathing during sleep. Our sleep was constantly disrupted and I can hear my 7 month old breathing loudly with crackle sounds in between his breaths. I had a bedside humidifier but it didnt serve it's purpose so I bought this one. This humidifier literally saved our sleep. We are happier waking up. The cheaper plastic design does not bother me. It's not like we play around with the humidifier so it shouldn't break. The sleek design is awesome, it's so easy to use, it's compact and quiet. The mist shoots out a good couple of feet. The settings are simple, there's a non intrusive blue light that creates a glow. I haven't cleaned it yet as I use boiled water to keep the unit clean and to clean it less. It was worth the almost 2 week wait. Overall, a great unit that will do its job and not be an eyesore no matter where you keep it.
