I love this thing and use it almost every day for my neck, back and headache issues. If you're a gal like me it's also handy to drape across your stomach if you have period cramps.I've read reviews that said this doesn't get very hot but I don't see that issue. I normally only have it on the lowest setting unless I'm wearing thick material and then use the next lowest setting. I can't imagine using this thing on the high setting! I'd sizzle. lolIf you are a larger person or have broad shoulders I think you might not be able to get the magnetic clasp to close but you can still drape it over your shoulders and it would stay put.My only regret is that I didn't buy this sooner.

I purchased one at the store and then one on amazon - both are the exact same - high setting is like being on low - not even to therapeutic level heat. I returned them both - wrote Sunbeam and got some response in broken English with incorrect spelling. Obviously have now sent everything offshore to make more money and their products have suffered greatly because of it. I will no longer buy anything that Sunbeam puts their name on. Shame - used to be such a reliable and reputable brand.

If I could, I would give this heating pad 4.5 stars. It's so close to being perfect. I love the concept, the shape, the super-soft fabric they used (it's like getting a hug from a soft teddy bear!), and the colour is lovely.My only complaints are that it could be a little wider for large necks and it would be nice if there were a button clasp. Yes, the magnet clasp is an attractive solution - until you bend over or roll over, which causes it to open.Despite these minor issues, it's still a fantastic after-work de-stresser. You wrap yourself in it, turn on Netflix, and just let out a big sigh of relief while the heat is so nicely distributed around your neck and shoulders. It's heaven.

If a heating pad that is only capable of reaching a maximum temperature of around 40 degrees Celsius is what you are looking for, then this product is for you. I was looking for something that would heat up electronically via wall plug instead of microwave. This is the best product I could find. It's decent, with a device that lets you change the heat setting from low to high. However, at the highest setting, it isn't very hot. You have to lay directly on it and put pressure on it for you to really feel strong heat. Also, the edge of the pad is hard, so if you're laying on it on a pillow, you can feel the edges of the heating pad and it's not very comfortable. Would have been better to not have that hard edge, and ability to go slightly warmer.

arrived quickly, as advertised. Not terribly comfortable, kind of heavy and you can feel the cord heavy on your shoulder. It also doesn't get too warm, which was the whole point of why I ordered it. Considering I bought it for health purposes, this was a waste of money and I was very dissapointed.

I bought one of these two years ago, and a couple of months ago, it stopped working. When I looked it up online, I found that this is a common problem with these heating pads, but that because they have a five-year warranty, Sunbeam will replace them. So I contacted Amazon, who told me to contact Sunbeam directly, and to let them (Amazon) know how I got on. I contacted Sunbeam, and they told me they would send a replacement. Well, after 6 weeks and at least 6 phone calls, I still didn't have the heat pad, nor was it even showing as anywhere near shipping in their system, even though they had an order number for it. The reason they were holding off on shipping it, was the Canada Post strikes. I'm not convinced this is a valid reason. Finally, I gave up on Sunbeam, and went back to Amazon, who had one in the mail to me the very next day, and I had it a week later. Thank you Amazon! You Rock!!! Sunbeam, not so much...The heat pad is awesome. I use it on my shoulders and legs, and it has wonderful warmth. I would get this again, and if this one also dies on me in two years, I'll go straight to Amazon, so I don't have to wait two months and waste a whole bunch of time dealing with Sunbeam.

Warms up quickly and gently. Has a nice pair of magnets to close snugly around the neck, which helps to enhance contact. Wish the soft liner was removable, so that it'd be easier to wash. The manual says you can wash the whole thing - but I wouldn't risk throwing it in the washer. It's an electrical appliance after all.

I'm not sure if the one I got is perhaps defective, but it doesn't get anywhere near hot enough to be effective. It gets slightly warm, but that's it. And it takes forever for it to warm up even a little bit. I requested a return and refund and Amazon said it's not eligible. Not cool. Do not purchase this product or you run the risk of the same issues I faced.

Bought one for myself and one for a gift. It feels good and isn't too heavy, which is a great feature as my family member is recovering from a shoulder injury. It stays in place without slipping even if I don't connect the interior magnets at the front. It has four heat settings - hot, medium, low and warm. I don't use the highest setting to often as it does get too warm after 10-15 minutes. Nice cord length too.

Even with light, gentle use, this product stopped working within several months. I did some research and read some 'tricks' to reset the plugs by unplugging and pressing certain buttons. None of them worked. This is my second sunbeam product, and both were disappointingly short-lived.

It’s not arrived yet, but I thought I’d write this review for anyone else wavering. I will update it when I get the product and I’ll try to through the life of the product also. So please ignore the stars.I was confused because this looked a lot like similar Sunbeam products for the American Market that are only worth $40 that don’t last very long.I decided to risk thanks to Australian Consumer Laws which take the price of items compared to others with the same purpose as an indication of expected lifespan.Products in this category of $100 are expected to last at least 5 years. Which means that I can alert the seller, Amazon or the manufacturer to get repair or replacement of this product if it stops working and I’ve used it as it was intended. Even if it’s been 2-4 years since purchase.So for anyone also waivering, make sure you keep your proof of purchase and that you can go to the ACCC even if the seller, Amazon or Sunbeam won’t help. If it’s stopped working and it’s less than five years they will likely find in your favour.

This is ideal for my shoulder pain. It is comfortable and has a good magnetic closure. However, it does not get “hot” and this is my second as they don’t last very long.

Similar story to another review I read for this product, that I should have heeded. The heating pad only worked in one small area, the other sections of the pad did not heat at all. Very disappointed as I have owned this same item in the past and loved it until the day it died. Luckily, even though this was "not eligible for return", Amazon customer service gave me a full refund without question, so kudos to them. Anyone want a free heating pad that doesn't work?

I love that the magnets give this weight to hug your shoulders, neck and back; the heat helps with the pain. It heats up very fast, and has multiple settings. I love the auto-off feature, there are no worries. Thank you for developing this product.
