This is a sturdy pen with good hand, feel and a cool design especially if you are into unique rollerball pens. The bolt action mechanism works great and the eraser for Pilot Frixion erasable ink refills on top is nice and beefy.A better buy than the Pilot Frixion metal Knock pens of which I have 2 (but lost one!). Those have their own positive looks & features but cost much more. (Tip: Don’t leave a Frixion pen in a hot car in the summer or the ink will become useless.)I’ll buy a few more of these pens as gifts as they come in a nice box, too. Highly recommend this pen.

The pen writes great and the Smootherpro mechanism is perfect..I'm so happy

I love how nice and solid this pen feels and looks however the ink that came in it is pretty bad. When I was writing in my journal I kept having to go back over my lines so they were dark enough to be able to be read and a lot of the lines appear to have a white line through them. After writing a page and a half it had gotten somewhat better but still wasn’t working anywhere near like it should. I had previously bought a set of Pilot Frixon erasable pens that I liked the ink in and had seen someone say something about using the refills for them in this pen so I checked to see if it fit and was pleased to find it does. Now after replacing this pen’s original ink with the Frixon ink I am much happier with how it writes.

I like this pen but, it came like it was used, the ball tip was not protected and the ink skips on both regular paper and rocketbook paper. Over all comfortable to write with in weight wise cause it is not heavy at all. Tha lack is pretty cool. Just wish the ink was consistent and the eraser didn’t erase on rocketbook.

I love this pen. I’ve been using the Frixion Erasable for awhile, with this being metal and a bolt style clicker, for some reason I can’t put it down. Also the ink refills for the Frixion work with this. I love that it was made with that in mind. This is now my go to pen.

Ink flow is very inconsistent and unacceptable. Opposite of smooth.

The weight and quality of this pen is spectacular. I always refilled my Pilot Frixion pens anway, but because they were plastic, they would eventually wear out. This is a game changer.

I'm a fan of the Frixion pens. I was using the PILOT FriXion Ball LX Erasable, Refillable & Retractable Gel Ink Pens, and they were great, but the eraser wore out relatively quickly. Unfortunately, they're not built for eraser replacement. This means either discarding the pen once the eraser is worn down or using a separate frixion eraser, which isn't ideal. The SMOOTHERPRO pen has a nice heft in the hand, is great-looking, and comes with two erasers. The original eraser is still going strong long after months of use, and it's great to have a second one in case that one wears out.

Great weight to the pen, solid construction.
