Hoof Trimmers for our Nigerian Dwarf Goats
We needed a hoof trimming tool for our Nigerian Dwarf Goats so we gave these a try because other reviewers recommended them for this use.We have used this tool to trim our goatsâ hooves and found them to be easy to grip and sharp enough to trim. Although I canât speak to the long term durability of the tool yet, we will definitely be able to use them for our goats at least the next couple of trims based on this experience. They are durable so far!I thought these trimmers were a great value because they are easy to use, sharp enough to trim hooves, and a nice hand held size.

Extremely Sharp
These Goat Hoof Shears are excellent! Theyâre sharp, durable, and make trimming hooves a breeze. The ergonomic handles are comfortable for extended use, and the blades cut cleanly without much effort. The safety lock is a nice touch, keeping them secure when not in use. Overall, theyâre a must-have tool for any goat ownerâeasy to use, reliable, and built to last! Highly recommend.

These work well for sheep/goat/pig hooves
These work well and are my favorite clippers other than the giant bolt cutter nippers I need on some really overgrow ones. Unfortunately, the closest business that does sharpening is pretty far away and the cost is prohibitive so with my occasional use I end up buying a new one due to dullness every few months.

Excellent goat hoof trimmer!
These were recommend on a fb goat group. I couldn't be happier. I had another brand of trimmers that didn't work well for me. I have arthritis in my hands and have had a bone removed from below my right thumb, but these trimmers were still easy to use. They cut right through even thick, tough hooves. Very, very happy.

Get some gloves too
These things cut like butter but be careful. My doe gets little ornery when you mess with her a little bit too much. One quick movement caused a slip and opened my finger right up. Great trimmers though. She just gets some treats and more stabilization now.

So far so good
Trimmed up my baby goats hooves and they did real good. Slid through them like scissors on parchment paper. Of course they're still babies and their hooves don't really harden until they out of the nursery pen (in our barn), the real challenge is going to be trimming their skittish momma's hooves. She's such a brat. I've been testing the clippers on tougher materials and they do the job. The clip closes and locks with ease. It's light but it's got enough weight so it doesn't feel cheap. I see some folks fuss about dull blades, I always sharpen my new blades for 2 hours straight out the package to make sure the angle is right, test the springs every 30 minutes with a couple of squeezes and oil it up if it feels too stiff. It's held up real good while testing. They were already covered in an odorless, greasy substance which I'm not complaining, the seller did that step for me so thank you. đ I will be back if/when these break.
