Family/Dog friendly
So I waited a few months before writing a review.... we live in Vegas and I wanted something that I can chill in with my dogs. Here is what I got.1. Just buy a better filter before hand and make life easy. I ended up buying a sand filter a month into having the pool.2. The plastic clamps aren't great, buy the metal clamps.3. I built a platform for my dog to jump off of and into the water. I was worried how well the pool would hold. IT IS DOING GREAT. I was also worried about the inflatable ring that my dog would put her paws on. It has held up well.4. Set up was easy. I wish I would have given myself alittle more room on the side where the pump is (I set it up too close to the brick wall) but a note I will learn for next year.Overall totally worth the buy!

Pool is fine, filter/pump is junk and expect to replace
The pool itself is pretty sturdy, the top ring can be pierced and if it goes flat large amounts of water will spill out so be prepared and buy the intex pool patches. Typical intex junk pool filter/pump which has been stated many times from other reviews. If you buy this pool expect to replace the filter every week or two at the latest, or upgrade to the sand filter and pump which is what I did. Works so much better and the sand only needs to be replaced once every 3-5 years. Get wrinkles out of the bottom before it fills more than 3-4” or you will struggle. Hopefully ours will last atleast 3 years and I wish intex didn’t corner people into buying a pool and need to replace the extremely underrated pump/filter but instead offer the sand filter to begin with, I guess that’s how they con an extra couple hundred bucks out of people.

Easy assemble. Hope it last longer than 3 years.
It’s very easy to assemble. I originally wanted the round one since I didn’t want to deal with assemble metal on the side. But the oval one fit our space better. We used it in 2019 summer and put it away in winter. This is the second year, we brought it out and found 2 holes we have to patch. Let’s see how long it will hold up.

Boy approved.
Instructions were easy to follow and we took special care to make sure all the grass was dead and totally level before setting it up. The pump is pretty pitiful as others warned. We had to clean out the filter nearly every day to keep it pumping. We upgraded to a larger one and all is well. For a first, large pool, we are pleased and the boys are having a blast. We added the skimmer too so we have hardly had to really clean it. Way cheaper than a professional above ground pool. Hoping to get a few years out of it.

We loved it, BUT IT WILL ONLY LAST ONE SUMMER.
***UPDATE*** IT ONLY LASTED ONE SUMMER!We put the pool away for the winter. We boxed it back up and everything was fine. We took it out yesterday to put it back up and there are small holes all around the pool. We didn't find that out until we started filling it with water and as it filled it would spring little leaks. Let me tell you that it is a pain to fix those leaks when there's water in it. Also, the inflatable ring on the top has tiny holes and won't stay inflated. So far I've found 6 little holes and I've patched them, but there are more because it's still deflating. I don't know if folding the pool up caused little cracks or what. But this is really disappointing. We've had smaller pools of this same kind and have used them for years. We always take them down in the winter. I don't know what happened with the quality of the materials this time. I bought this pool for under $300 last summer. I've looked for the same pool on other sites and they are selling them now for $600. Knowing what I know now, I would not spend that much money on this pool. Not if it won't last longer than one summer. We love it! It took all 5 of us to put it up and smooth out the bottom to get rid of the wrinkles. (I recomend taking your time with this because it's not nice on the feet to be stepping on wrinkles.) One person could probably put it up, but I recommend having help. The pump works great. We've had it up since spring break and the water has stayed clear. We just use a small chlorine floatie. We haven't had to shock it. We don't run the pump 24/7 either. We usually unplug it at night. It won't catch leaves and in our case, we have a pine tree that sheds its dead needles into the pool, so it doesn't get the needles. We have to skim it out by hand. I've thought about getting the little vacuum that's made for vinyl pools, but I worry that the pine needles will overload the pump. I recommend changing the filter frequently because when the filter gets dirty, the pump loses power. The cover is nice, it ripped on the outer seam, but it still covers fine. It gets hot here, so we mostly leave it off, otherwise the water will get really hot and it will take a day or two to cool down.As a family, we really enjoy having the pool. Our yard is too small to put in an in ground pool, and I like that I can take this one down when it gets cooler, verses having a full size above ground pool that stays up all year. I can take it down and get it out of the way and I don't have to maintain it in the winter.Overall, we really like this pool and maybe in a couple of years I will buy the bigger one now that I know it will fit.

Really great pool
Set this up during one of the hottest days of the year for us and thought I'd share a couple things. First and foremost when you're flattening out the liner, I would suggest trying to get as many wrinkles out as possible before adding any water. We added a couple inches first and I think it would've been easier the other way.The bigger posts that you slide into the side of the pool went in easier if you wetted them a little then slide them in. Other then that, this pool was really easy to set up and run.Another thing I noticed was the notches on the hoses. If you put a clamp over those things, water will eventually drip out. Get them in as far as they can go and clamp yo a flat part instead. We did order a sand filter instead of using the one that came with it due to a good friends recommendation. So I can't give a review on that.

money well spent!
We obviously don't have a whole lot of yard space but it's actually a decent size pool, with plenty of room for my 3 kids (and usually a couple extras) to swim around in. It's deep enough that they can swim in it but not too deep where they can't touch the bottom (ages 5-8). It's about waist deep on myself (5'4") and I love floating around it too! I don't know who has enjoyed it more, me or them!? Best money we've ever spent, we could not be happier with this purchase. Set up was a little frustrating at first, instructions not very detailed but after a little YouTube research it went up pretty easily. It took a good 6 hours to fill but literally, you just put a hose in it and it pops itself right up into position as it fills with water (kind of like a big water balloon).
