Ah, the original lava lamp! The original and the best. This particular unit is known as Aurora Borealis and at first I thought that was referencing the base of the unit because it is colored differently than I've seen before, kind of a swirl pattern. The magic however is what happens in a dark room when the lava lamp is operational. This particular combination of fluid color and "lava" color produces effects on the walls that mimic the Aurora Borealis. Very interesting looking lava as it seems to change color somewhat and by doing that it shoots bright beams if you will of green color onto the walls in an ever-changing pattern just like the Aurora. I've always loved lava lamps but this particular combination of fluid and wax offers a truly hypnotic effect in a dark room. To truly enjoy the effect to its fullest the room must be absolutely dark. Place the lamp about 6 in from the wall to enhance the effect. This one will not disappoint!

Be careful this lamp gets hot! It is fun to watch once it heats up which takes a while. I would not recommend this lamp due to the heat it puts out.

Extremely disappointed in this product and their lack of customer service. My daughter wanted a lava lamp for her 6th birthday since her brother had a lamp. Her favorite color is purple so we thought this would be the perfect gift for her. Unfortunately it is defective and does not work. The accompanying picture shows the lamp that has been on for 6 hours and the lava does not move. It’s cloudy and doesn’t work. I reached out to their customer service last week and haven’t heard back. Don’t waste your money.

Bought this my daughter and she loves it. She always wanted one growing up but we couldn’t afford it. They’re still a little pricey but she’s old enough to take care of it. It comes in assorted colors and sizes so it was a hard decision on which one to buy.

I decided to get a lava lamp for my home studio; nostalgia from when I got one for Christmas back in the 90s. I just received the lamp after awaiting a week, unfortunately the lamp bulb that’s included was shattered. I ordered 6 pack replacement bulbs, no biggie because I’ll have to eventually. I was slightly disappointed as I wanted to see how the lamp/wax turned out.Will update once I get to use the lamp.

This was a gift for my 8 year old. He loves it! The colors are fun and the lamp functions well. The brightness is great for his room and I have a happy boy.

I have bought 2 of these for my granddaughter, send both back, did not work right out of the box. Hopefully, the 3rd one is a charm!Very annoying.
