Excellent cost effective treatment for cats
I used this to treat tape worms in my cats, and it worked wonderfully with no side effects. I followed the dosage guidelines according to cat weight found on other sites.DOSAGE GUIDELINES:Each of these capsules is 34 mg in strength. Cats 4 lbs. and under should receive 11.5 mg (or 1/4 a capsule). Cats weighing 5 to 11 lbs. should receive 23 mg (or 1/2 to 3/4 a capsule). Cats weighing over 11 lbs. should be administered 34.5 mg (one full capsule). If you need to administer one full capsule, you can administer the capsule as-is and do not need to break up the capsule. It will be easier to drop the capsule down the cat's throat and then follow with a small syringe of water squirted down.***These drugs are NOT indicated for use in kittens under 6 weeks of age. A veterinarian should be consulted before administering this medication to a pregnant, nursing, ill or immune-compromised cat. Check sites for dosing guidelines for dogs. I am not a veterinarian. ***Using a small knife, I cut a slit into the seam of the capsule and began peeling the top half of the capsule off. Then, after filling a 1 ml syringe with room temperature water, I emptied the water from that syringe into a tiny bowl (you can also use a clean cap from most bottles or a clean shot glass). Next, I poured about half to 3/4ths of the powder in the capsule into the water in the bowl and stirred it around to mix it well. Using the empty syringe, I filled it back up with this medicated solution.I filled a second syringe with room tenperature water to be used after the medication dose to ensure he got all the medication. To dose the cat, I wrapped the cat in a thick blanket/towel so that he couldn’t wiggle or claw at me. Holding him with one hand and tilting his body and head back sllightly, I used my other hand to push down and open his lower jaw, inserted the syringe, and squirted the medication quickly into his throat. I massaged his throat immediately to ensure he swallowed it all. Finally, I squirted the second syringe full of water to ensure all the medication went down his throat. The cat may try to spit it up, but that’s okay. Usually, some medication still gets swallowed regardless if there’s some spit up/frothing at the mouth. That’s it! You’re done! Release the cat from the towel/blanket and let him calm down for at least 20 minutes. If you have more than 1 cat that interacts a lot with the cat that has worms, you should consider medicating the other cats in the household or at least monitoring their butts for tapeworm segments that look like wiggling bits of rice. It’s usually recommended that you do a follow up treatment 3-4 weeks later. In my case, I didn’t see anymore worms so I didn’t do the follow up treatment since it was quite traumatic to medicate this foster cat.

Works well for tapeworms in cats
Update: still using this brand for my four cats as needed, but I now hide it in size 5 pills- works much better than trying to hide the powder in food.LOVE THIS. Cured my four cats of tapeworms. Cat dose is 23mg- I poured 3/4th pill into their food- they ate about half the food and stopped. I had to redose the next day, then worried about overdosing. I’d recommend for other cat owners, in you are mixing in food, pour a higher dose than you think u need in a SMALL amount of very smelly food (tuna). I thought originally the Powder in the pill would be diluted by a lot of wet food, but they could still taste it and it put them off that flavor for a week. After using, They were grumpy and sleepy for 24 hours after, but now v happy and worm free!!!!!!

Did the job almost instantly.
I gave this to my 4 animals and we were worm free within a few days. Redosing in 2 weeks to kill the last few eggs, if any. Great stuff.

Same as the stuff for cats! Cheaper!
So glad I found this! Tape worms are nasty! Was buying this same medication labeled for cats at nearly $30 for 3 tablets. I have 4 cats, so to do the follow up dose 2 weeks later was expensive. No matter how much I crushed those other tablets and tried to hide them in smelly food, the cats always figured it out and never got a full dose. These are water soluble. 1 tablet in 1cc of water.1/4 cc squirt in each mouth and done! Cats don’t know what hit ‘em!

Perfect for dogs and cats. Affordable alternative to Droncit.
We needed to de-worm two dogs (10lbs & 50lbs) and three cats (10-15lbs) before we moved to a different state. This is a great affordable alternative to Droncit. I found the dosage online and following it was able to treat my 10lb Papillon mix with 1 capsule, my 50lb Shepherd mix with 4 capsules and our three cats with 1 capsule each. I have 4 extra capsules left over in case I need any. Highly recommend. (I coat the capsule in wet cat food and push it down the cats throats while they are wrapped tight in a towel and my dogs just each the whole thing in one gulp easy.)

dangerously unable to measure out bc its in powder form
it kills tapeworms alright....kills everything in the tank. Is NOT tablets.....but loose powder making it IMPOSSIBLE to dose correctly. do not buy these. get the tablets instead. they can be cut down to the correct amount needed to dose the tank

Works well
Used this to treat tapeworms in my dogs and cats.. I cut the capsules open and poured into their food. They didn't like the taste so I had to combine it with water in a syringe. They're not meant to taste good so can't complain. Other than that, no sign of segments!
