did not work on British phone lines
its a great phone only problem was it was not for the British market .gigaset sent me a phone for the Belgium market.instructions in German. 2 pin plug not British 3 pin plug. wrong connector for the phone line.then they said how about we send you a manual in English.me and my wife could not stop laughing for days.sent it back about 2 weeks ago still waiting for the refund.funny they take your money in about 2 minutes when you buy some thing. then we have to wait bloody weeks to get it back but thats live

Phone great - not UK configured out of the box
The phone itself is great, sync with my google contacts and using bluetooth to link with my hearing aids.UK buyers beware the one I got delivered came with EU 2 pin power plug and EU phone cable NOT compatible with UK (BT Openzone type) sockets.So you will at least need to source a compatible phone cable and EU 2 pin to UK 3 pin adaptor -try old fashioned razor adaptor or tourist shopAlso UK buyers will need to configure it for English language (or your own prefered language) and country UK with youe area (STD) code. If you are comfortable doing that it all works well.

It wasn’t that complicated to set to English via a YouTube video but it works brilliant and looks more modern

Keeps dropping calls randomly
come on ffs, the very primary function which was mastered over 100 years ago and you cant get that right. maintain a phone call... too much to ask. It cuts off sometimes after 10 secs sometimes after 2 mins and you have to call them back. does this both incoming and outgoing calls. It also randomly re-boots itself about twice a week and sometimes it's jammed so you get no incoming calls until you wonder why the phone is so quiet then you see it unresponsive and have to reboot it. The extra functions don't matter if you cant get the basics right. I'd rather have a cheapo £10 phone that at least can let me finish my conversation.

Stylish
Firstly it is a very stylish phone. So many phone manufacturers make such dull looking phones in a a world where we have some great technological advances. The maximum sound could be a few more decibels louder as it isn't that loud if there are a few people in the house or tv/radio is on etc. The house phone is used rarely these day so it is a back up but at lease its a good looking one.
