Serves the need
About...Purpose. Ultralighter on a budget.Size. As other users found, it packs slightly larger than advertised but still not bad. Strapped outside the pack, it's dreamy. Compressed, it fit inside a basic Jansport bookbag. It's a mummy, you gotta expect a snug fit. At 6'1" and 190, I had no problems with the length, shoulders, or hood. The footbox is a little narrow. It is replacing dual poncho liners in the same amount of space with a greater range of temperature use.Warmth. Spent two dry 60 degree nights in Allegheny using as a blanket on top of a Big Agnes Air Core pad. Spent one comfortable night in the low 50s in the Grand River Valley with some foot venting. Waiting for cooler evenings to really give it a temp test. For those concerned that it won't suffice into the 30s, I carry a Sea to Summit Reactor liner for an additional 10 degrees of comfort.Features. In and out dual zippers for easy venting. Zip pocket on outside of chest as a fuel can warmer. Uniform cords on the hood cinch require a little tinkering (no fat man/ribbon setup). Interesting stuff sack: has 4 straps to compress length and 2 buckle straps over the open end to keep the bag from squishing out past the cord toggle lock under pressure.Overall. For three season backcountry hikes above freezing, this bag is a winner. The next best upgrade will put you into the $300 price range for improved warmth/packability:weight ratio. Maybe 12 ounces and 2 inches is worth $250 to you, but I'm happy with what I bought and the price I paid.

Surprised
So the bag is just about everything the description says it is. It is affordable, compact, warm and actually pretty spacious for a mummy bag. But the reason for the five stars is not only for the product but the customer support as well. Someone stole my package dropped off by fedex off my front porch. Fedex said they were not responsible for it, since it didnt require a signature. I imediately wrote the manufacturer and asked what to do now. Was pretty irritated that I couldnt find their phone number and had to use the contact seller on amazon to write them. Well I expected that I would never hear from them again, and that I was just @#*& out of luck. Instead a new bag showed up three days later with an apology letter, and requiring a signature. Since then I have received three emails asking if I received my replacement in the mail and apologizing for the inconvenience. So even with a theft and dealing with crappy fedex customer support we STILL got the bag in on time for my wife to be cozy and warm in her hammock for three days out in the gorgeous Mt. Jefferson national forest :)

Great bag at a great price
I took this with me on a camping trip to Alaska where it got down to ~30 degrees at night, and it has been great. Here are some thoughts:Pros:-Price-Stuff-sack that comes with bag compresses it pretty well. Not super-compact, but certainly good enough for the needs of most-Kept me super-warm during freezing nights. As other reviewers have indicated, it can even be a little too warm if it isn't cold out. I was also using a Thermarest mat, so I can't speak to how well it would hold up if placed directly on the ground / tent floor.-Mine got a bit damp one night when the walls of the tent started leaking a big during a heavy rainstorm, but the inside stayed warm and dry-No issues with zippers catching on fabric, etc, which I usually have issues withCons:-None that I can speak of.Unless you're super-hardcore and want to spend $500 on a sleeping bag, I'd highly recommend this.

nice bag
I bought this for the size of the bag, and spent the extra cash for temp rating. It turns out to be about the same size and weight of most generic bags even with the compression sack. it's super comfy and it's kept me warm enough on many cool nights including Alaska in September and the Adirondacks in November (near zero at night)I really like this bag and would consider getting a 40 degree bag from the same company for summer trips- packing lite is a priority for me, but at a big guy, it's seldom a reality. On negative thing,- 2 of the compression sack plastic cinch tabs broke in Alaska... revering the compression sack almost useless

Good, lightweight sleeping bag
I purchased this sleeping bag in February and I am very pleased with it. It looks great and seems very sturdy. I have not used it for a hiking trip yet, but I have used it a few times for other occasions and it kept me very warm.I have no complaints about the bag itself, but the compression sack disappointed me slightly. It does compress very well, but not to the advertised dimensions. The straps have held up great so far, but I feel like they might break if I tighten them too hard.Overall, I think this is a great sleeping bag for the price and I would definitely recommend it.

Quality Product
This bag showed up on my doorstep this afternoon (3 days earlier than estimated delivery date) and so far I can tell it's well made. I was afraid that getting a sleeping bag at such a bargain price would be a bad idea, but the material and stitching does not look or feel cheap at all. The stuff sack that it comes with is much nicer than anticipated. I am only giving it 4 stars because I haven't tested it out on the trail for a night yet, but I will be sure to post a follow-up. So far, I am VERY happy with this purchase!

Ultra Compact = incredible
I purchased this sleeping bag for when I travel with my college debate team, which often ends up sleeping on the cold floor of dormitories in New England colleges in the winter. It's perfect for that kind of use, as well as warmer-weather camping (it's rated to 20 degrees F, so obviously it doesn't have to be that warm!). Although it feels thin and isn't much for padding, it is incredibly warm. The best selling point, however, is it's seriously ultra compact-ability. This sleeping bag, which comfortably fits my 5' 5" self, compresses to barely 7" in its stuff sack. Many compressible sleeping bags never seem to get as small as they were when you first received them, but I've been able to shrink this one down every time.If you have to carry your sleeping bag anywhere, this one is light and tiny: a perfect choice!
