Best Super-Automatic Available
My previous super-automatic espresso machine was a Saeco Xelsis EVO, purchased in 2013. After 71,988 uses, it developed an irreparable leak, and I was unable to locate a repair shop in the United States. This new machine has a similar design, and in fact, the brew group, water tank, and drip tray are identical. I believe, aside from the front panel and electronics, the machines are essentially the same. If this machine provides the same longevity as my previous one, I would be delighted. It produces an exceptional espresso, and the other beverages are just as good as those from Starbucks. In addition to excellent coffee, I anticipate saving $50 per week. The machine should pay for itself in about 38 weeks. It's the best machine on the market for the price, a conclusion I reached after five weeks of research looking at machines from multiple manufacturers. This is a quality build from start to finish.

Excellent Super Automatic
This is an EXCELLENT super automatic espresso maker. Well built, easy to master and loads of features. I bought it to replace my previous version Gaggia Accademia, which I used daily for seven years without a problem or hiccup. This new model has almost too many choices! (not really) You can have separate custom settings for almost every menu item - for four separate users - and all accessible with just a couple of touches.Highly recommended!!

maybe mine was made at 4:30 Friday
had a Babilia (with the extended warrantee) and after 3+yrs of heavy coffee while covid lock down the boiler started to leak. mind you there were over 5k drinks made with this in my house, both kids home from college for lock down.Asuron said no fix just refund entire purchase price so I bought this unit the digital academiahappiness opening the box set up was easy but touch the unit and a crackle noise and the power would go out. when the wife heard it it was a return to amazon lucky I was under 30 days.nice unit but must've been Marios last of the day because the other concern was 2 flat whites and the drip tray needed to be emptied.Amazon took this back and I bought another babblia

Fantastic Superauto!
Had a Haggis before and it was a workhorse . No longer in use because no one services this model. Bought this new one and while expensive, it is awesome. Doesn't take too much to learn, but depending on your beverage, it may take a shot while before you're dialed in. Some reviews have complained about the heat of their drinks. Keep in mind factory settings for the stored drinks menu are a bit conservative on the temp. Good news is you can modify it and save off the drive k as a favorite. Tip: keep a large glass of water nearby and refill the tank after each brew. The rinse cycle takes up some water and you may see a frequent need to top off. Great machine!

Excellence--with a catch
I used this briefly, then returned it. Almost everything is top-notch: very well-built; flat, ceramic burr grinder; nice auto milk frothing; extremely easy milk processing (read about this); excellent espresso quality; super user-friendly. It's also surprisingly-easy to clean, considering it keeps all the mess on the inside: just remove and rinse the brew assembly weekly--takes about two minutes. The only catch, to me, is that the grinder is not user-accessible. I like to try different coffees, so I frequently switch and need to clean the grinder. You can't do that with this machine without voiding the warranty. Also, Gaggia strongly discourages using dark roast with this machine, since the beans are oily. I like dark roast.

Great tasting espresso drinks, easy to use and clean
Amazing tasting espresso drinks, with a simple press of button. We really love cafe au lat, melange, cortado and cappuccinos in addition to basic brewed coffee. The automatic milk system produces really high quality milk froth for an automatic system. The milk system is also very easy to clean. We take it apart once a week for cleaning which takes less than a couple minutes. In between use, we just keep it in the fridge. One concern I had before buying, based on reviews, was that the milk is not hot enough. I think it’s perfectly fine and comes out at a temperature that can be enjoyed immediately!

Great Espresso Machine!
We love this machine! I bought it to replace an old Gaggia machine after 13 years of use. It produces better espresso than the previous model and offers the ability to select the desired drink, adjust each drink to our liking, and save it. I don't use the milk frothing jug, but some people would find it handy.

Did not work out of the box. Zero customer service.
Did not work out of the box. Set it up and immediately had an E02 error code and the grinder didn't work. Sent an email to Gaggia customer support and received no response for days. Ended up returning the coffee maker and paying up for a Jura. I expected much more in terms of quality control and customer support for the cost of the item. A defective product out of the box is one red flag. No customer service is two red flags and a business to avoid.
