Nice-looking casual black leather belt

Leather looks nice and appears to be made with continuous strips of leather. My previous $25 belt started to fray because strips were glued on.This belt is indeed stretchy, maybe a little too much. One annoying flaw is the difficulty threading the tip of the belt through the loop right next to the buckle. For this price level and brand name it’s a poor showing.

The constituent bands on some woven belts can spread, discolor and even break over time. Not this one. It pops right back into shape when you take it off and the bands stay shiny and intact. Though a bit expensive, it’s a great value.

This belt was a pleasant surprise. I wear khaki pants at work and jeans on the weekend, so I like a versatile style that can be both dressy and casual. I also golf and there is nothing worse than a staff belt that limits your range of motion. This belt looks like any other braided belt, except you can stretch it 2-3 times its length by pulling on it.I will say that I was a bit confused by the sizing. I wear a size 36 jean or 38 dress pant, depending on the cut of the pants. I wear a size XL belt or sweatpants and ordered a size XL in this because, if anything, belts usually fit smaller than the tag size. When the belt arrived, I tried it on and it was a bit big. I easily could have ordered a size Large. In fairness, their size chart mentioned the sizing ... but I went with my normal size vs. trusting their chart. Bottom line ... look at their size chart and order accordingly. Size down, if you are in question.I like this so much I am going to order another in black. You cannot tell by looking at it that it stretches. It looks like a classy braided belt. I will say that when wearing this with a tucked in dress shirt, by the end of the day the shirt will come untucked a few times because it does stretch. However, the comfort is worth this minor design hassle.The only other complaint I'd have is that the belt is a tad narrow and exposes a small strip of fabric at the top of the belt on my dress pants. For the most part, with jeans or khakis, it looks nice and doesn't stand out too much. There are no logos on the belt, which I also like.Overall, this is one of the most comfortable leather belts I own. Tommy Bahama is a brand that mirrors the relaxed, classy style of an upscale tropical resort and this belt goes with that theme. Maybe a bit casual for a suit ... but with a shirt and pants, its perfect. Their products are made well and this belt is no exception. It seems like it will last for a long time and I am glad that I ordered it. I hope my honest review after using the product for a month has been helpful to you.
