Not worth it
This game is very poorly made and and does not function well. At a glance looks ok but as you play, the rods don’t spin well and barely hit the puck. They aren’t sturdy enough to move it. Not worth it.

Good product for table top game
Good product for table top game. Easy set up, lots of fun. Me and 5 yr old daughter play.

Poorly made
Some men slip at gear site - no torque. Plastic backer behind net impedes mens movement, sticks are not flush with ice, and board is not flat at groove site. I do not recommend this product.

Table top hockey game is fun for gentle players
This is a fun and easy to play game. Easy in the sense, there's nothing much to learn for the rules and game play is obvious. Learning the controls however, will certainly take some time. There are 6 players on each side and there are 6 control rods to operate the players. You push and pull on rods to move the players and you turn the rods to rotate the players. Two pucks are supplied.Assembly is super easy as it comes mostly pre-assembled. All we have to do is fasten four legs, insert players onto their posts, and attach receptacles for the puck.Rods operate smoothly and players move around and spin easily. Suction cups at the bottom of the legs are very effective. They stick to granite/glass/vinyl very firmly.Only problem is with the lack of sturdiness. It is delicate and won't last long at the hands of rough and unruly players. Gentle and responsible players can certainly enjoy this product for a very long time.We have noticed two problems with the design: (1) players that can reach far ends of the fields cannot rotate freely as they brush against the transparent plastic protections on the end, and (2) there are some blind spots where none of the players can reach the puck. We have setup our own rule that if the puck is unreachable, it is to be picked up by hand and placed in the middle of the board.

Better than the cheap stuff, but inferior to the pricier models
This is an OK rod hockey set. It seems expensive for its flaws, but to get something better, you'd have to spend a lot more.On the plus side, the legs are tall enough that older kids and adults can play without smacking their knuckles on the table. Also, the suction cups on the feet are very strong. It's pretty lightweight -- almost everything is plastic and wood. That said, it's survived me and my teenaged son so far. I'm not sure if it'd last longer or not with younger kids. Maybe we're being subconsciously gentle with it.The players do not always stand up perfectly straight, which causes some to have a longer reach and a stronger shot. The variances are slight, but when you're trying to line up a shot, they can be noticeable. It's very hard to score. Getting off a good shot is tough enough with the flimsy rods, but on top of that, the goal holes in the platform are very small. This results in the puck often going in and out of the goal without falling through. I strongly suggest counting any shot that makes it all the way into the net, otherwise a game could take forever. There are some small dead spots. Be sure to lift the plastic shields on either end; they obstruct the players if you don't. Sometimes the shields slip down while you're playing, so keep an eye on that. All that said, this set is playable. If you really want to get into rod hockey, I'd recommend spending a bit more for a higher-quality set with more metal, but you're probably better off with this one than with one of the cheaper models.

A Fun but Flawed Rod Hockey Game
This table top rod hockey game has been something fun for my ten-year old son and I and his friends to play. It has many flaws but still appeals to hockey and game fans. The positives about the game are that it follows the traditional rod hockey system of rods turning and pulling/pushing to control players who slide along a set path. This game sets the stage of healthy competition and learning; it is not as easy as it might seem. The boards and plastic shields keep the puck on the board most of the time. So far, I think we have only hit the puck out once. The puck moves well on the game board. Scoring is quite a challenge. My son and I may play for ten minutes and score a goal between us. The goalie can cover a good portion of the goal. The weaknesses of this game limit the number of stars I can give it--I wavered between 3-4 stars.. While I like playing it, the rods and players are rather flimsy. There a some 'dead" spots in the corners, and one of my forward players was set at an angle so he could not play the puck on one side. I remedied that problem by duct taping a flat lego to his stick (see picture). I would expect a game board that is more sturdy and durable than this one, even at this price. It doesn't have bells and whistles but does have a score chart on the sides for each team. This is definitely a fun game for the family.

Do Not Buy!
The table hockey game received was late upon delivery date provided. Further, the game received appears to have a very poor design for the rotation of the players. The gears slip and / or disengage regularly causing the game to stop or needs to be fixed. Do not buy if you were a previous fan of this type of board game. Save your money

My son loves it!
Great size for kids, a little annoying to play it as an adult because its so tiny. Still a great product and my son loves it.

De faible qualité
Les morceaux semblent fragiles et les baguettes ne sont pas bien fixées dans le jeu.
