⚡ Swing into Science with Style!
The Newtonian Demonstrator is a beautifully crafted solid wood kinetic energy transfer model, measuring 9” x 7” x 9”. It features five swinging balls that visually demonstrate Newton's third law of motion, making it an educational tool and a stylish desk decoration. With the ability to maintain motion for over a minute, it serves as both a stress reliever and a conversation starter.

Very happy with item
I really like this item. It has a wood frame instead of the plastic ones most have right now. It looks more timeless, and works just fine. Good price too.

works well for a big newton's cradle
Nice product, works well. After reading some of the other reviews I was a little worried it might show up broken, but it did not. I've used it as a physics demonstration and it has gotten the job done. I have also bought smaller plastic cheaper newton's cradles whose motion lasts a bit longer, but I needed a big one for demonstration purposes and this works just fine. I think the bigger they are, the harder it gets to build such that the motion lasts a long time.

Exactly what I was looking for!
Looking at the picture, I was expecting something a little smaller, and maybe kind of cheaply made. However, I was surprised to see this large, robust version of Newton's Cradle! The device is about 9 inches wide, 7 1/4 inches deep, and 8 3/4 inches tall. The packaging it came in kept the balls from being bashed in shipping, so they all came in great condition! The frame is made of real wood, and had a fairly dark color to it, with a shiny finish. The only thing that would have made this better would have been if the balls & strings were perfectly calibrated. I find that there is a small gap in 2 places when the balls are at rest. This causes them all to start swaying back and forth after a bit, so it ends up going out of whack. However, it is the concept behind this that rocks! It is about time I find this popular toy to place on my desk!If you love science, and want to get a quality toy that can be used for educational purposes, this is a great item! A must for the science/physics classroom!

My office is hooked on this
I work with engineers and one of the most endearing things about them is that they always want to tinker. My office has a 'car' theme. The conference rooms all have car names and several cubes have car photos and articles as well. To fit in I had a pink cadillac at my desk, a model. Somehow a piece broke and so I searched for something that would still be engaging. I remembered seeing one of these on the desk of an executive I once worked for and really found it appealing.I searched through the reviews of 27 different version and this one came best recommended AND it's made in the U.S.A AND in Michigan, which can use all the help it can get these days!I bought it and it works fabulously, is packed spectacularly and sure enough, my engineers LOVE it...we've even bought two more (I get no kickback. :-) ).Enjoy the heck out of it, but keep the box and the insert. When the metal clackers are magnetized it's 'prescribed' to put the device back into the box for 24 hours, in the original packing. This 'fixes' it. Additionally, the insert explains everything scientifically and shows you the different 'clacking' patterns you can use. It's very very 'neat'.

An ok product for the most part.
The craftsmanship is very good. However, as many other reviewers have noted there is a slight unbalance in either the alignment or the weight of the balls that causes the rhythm of the bouncing to die off really quickly and not be very satisfying. Also I feel somewhat deceived that there is a huge company advertisement carved into the side of one of the legs that I didn’t want there. Something like that should have been mentioned in the product description are at the very least seen in the product picture.

Gap
Just to be clear, there is a gap between some of the balls on this item. On top of that, one of the balls aren't aligned perfectly with the rest, meaning the center of the ball isn't hitting the center of the other ball. Due to these errors, the balls transfer force less efficiently than the should and continue for a shorter period than if they were aligned. Also, I'm not sure if this is just an amazon thing or this specific seller, but they don't return the cost of shipping which is about 7 bucks.

This is not a very nice Newton's Cradle
This is not a very nice Newton's Cradle. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because my kids like playing with it.

Newton's Cradle
My review is similar to others. The wood model is good size for such a device and looks nicer than plastic models. For the price it is great, but for a few dollars more it could have been perfect. The balls and connecting string are not perfectly aligned, but the model works well enough for a $15 toy. At rest there are minor gaps between the balls. Ideally they should just touch each other when resting. Oh well. This model worked well for my son's science class project to analyze Newton's equal and opposite reaction theory. Highly recommended.
