These fit like dress pants; If you're a 34, order a 36. Or in this case, normally I'd wear a Medium, I ordered a Large and it fits quite nice. Good material, great color.

I am 5'10" with a waist size of 38". The XXL size , while loose in the thigh region down to the ankles, are TIGHT around the waist. While the pants did buckle at the waist, it was quite uncomfortable. Especially when sitting. Such a shame since the material and overall build quality is good.Keep in mind these types of pants are supposed to sit ABOVE your hips, at or rigjt beloe the belly button, and not at your waist.How these fit me, I believe the XXL would suit a person with size 34" waist.

I found a really nice pair of dress slacks for men! The PJ PAUL JONES Men Vintage Tweed Pants Herringbone Pleated Suit Trousers are great, made of a small percentage of wool, waist adjustable, and well made. These slacks feel good and have great lines with elegant touches, such as pleats, cuffs and a nice line to them. The fabric is very soft. They will need pressing with an iron. The only problem was sizing! Caution: You should add a size larger than the sizing chart. I had to send back the XL because the usual waistline I wear did not match the pants....I needed a 2XL size. Thus, you will need to order up one. Otherwise these are really nice dress slacks. A good find Amazon. Kudos to the manufacturer except for incorrect sizing.

Usually wear a Large in pants and saw comments and to size up so I got the XL and they fit like Medium/small in the waistline. Terrible marketing for sizes. Will not buy again since I would probably need a 3xL since they fit like a medium/small

The short of it: buy AT LEAST one size larger than what you believe your size is, and you'll get a pair of pants made of great material.Detailed review:I purchased a pair of these Thanksgiving week of 2023, and the light brown pair went on another, better sale so I bought a second pair. Second pants haven't arrived yet, but I might look into exchanging them. Why? The sizing is completely off for these pants. I like PJ Paul Jones, but I'm baffled at how they messed up the measurements for this so badly. Here are my measurements, so you get an idea for the fit:6", 180lbs, 30" waist, wears 32W x 32L pants.So I'm on the thinner side, and I like a little bit of room in the waist, and other reviews said it runs small so I guessed at a medium. In reality the mediums fit like 31W x 30L, which if you're very fashionable you can make the cropped pant look work, but that's not what I wanted. According to another reviewer that purchased the XL size it looks like the waist stays pretty slim, but perhaps gets longer, so BUY A SIZE UP at minimum.Now, the things I like.I was able to fix the gray pair I first purchased by cutting the pant cuffs which added some inches to the length, and now the pants are somewhere between no-break and quarter-break. The pockets feel so nice, the material looks good, and the button fastening and the tightening bits at the waist are really nice looking. It doesn't stretch at all really, so you don't want these to be too slim on you. But, I'm a slimmer guy, so the fact that these pants are slim compared to many other men's pleated pants was really nice.Would I buy again? Yes. But, I'd probably at least get another size larger.
