Osmo 3062C 0.75 Litre Polyx Hard Wax Oil in Clear Matt
I recently had the pleasure of using the Osmo 3062C 0.75 Litre Polyx Hard Wax Oil in Clear Matt.First and foremost, the application was an absolute breeze. The consistency of the wax oil is perfect, making it easy to apply evenly on the surface. Whether you're a seasoned DIY enthusiast or a first-timer, you'll find this product incredibly user-friendly.One of the standout features for me is the clear matt finish. It truly lives up to its name, leaving the wood with a beautifully natural and matte appearance. What's remarkable is that it doesn't alter the original colour of the wood – it simply enhances and protects it. The result is a gorgeous, authentic look that complements the wood's natural beauty.I've tried various wood finishes in the past, but Osmo's Polyx Hard Wax Oil has become my go-to choice. The clear matt option is ideal for those who want to maintain the wood's original colour while providing long-lasting protection. The durability is impressive, and it stands up well to daily wear and tear.In conclusion, if you're in search of a top-notch wood finish that's easy to apply, enhances the natural beauty of the wood without altering its color, and provides excellent protection, look no further than the Osmo 3062C 0.75 Litre Polyx Hard Wax Oil in Clear Matt. It's a recommended product that will undoubtedly elevate your woodworking projects to a whole new level.

Be Careful, This Product should come with a health warning..applying it will take over your life...in a good way!
The best kept secret! Have recently dismantled, dipped, stripped and rebuilt satircase in old victorian house. This product is exceptional! It smells lovely, is easy to apply and leaves the wood looking beautiful! It is one of the most addictive products I have ever used for all the right reasons. Once you start you can't stop..everything in timber becomes fair game...and everything looks gorgeous once coated. I first purchased the clear matt to apply on oak doors which had been pre-finished to coat the planed wood on the sides, was warned this might not agree with the sprayed on factory finish but...it worked a treat..moved onto real oak skirting...excellent...then on to pitch pine strings and newl posts...WOW makes the staircase and entrance to the hallway look like an exclusive gentleman's club! Finally moved on in desperation as I was running out of all things wooden on to rubbishy old pine door casings which I had stained to look like oak...Osmo didn't disappoint!. Wood looks wonderful..however the matt is what it says quite matt..however the 'wet-look' I saw prior to it drying was so appealing I repeated the process with the clear gloss osmo (think I was actually going into withdrawal at having no more wood to paint!). This went on like a dream over the matt with no effort...it is such an addictive pastime it is almost threapeutic. Any drips on the floor come off easily with a wet wipe and there was no need for ventilation or complaints about acrid/pungent smells or worries about contact with skin etc! Takes about 12 hours to dry and in the event any grainy bits in the finish are quickly polished out with a piece of fine steel wool. Can't say any more other than an exceptional product which I shall be using again as soon as I have decided on my next project!

Pretty good, but only apply thin coats!
Spent many weekends tirelessly laying my hardwood floor and applied this hardwax oil to cure overnight. It was a total disaster! Left a horrible patchy grey uneven finish. After lots of reading found I'd applied it on too thick. The instructions do say a "thin layer". My advice is to wipe down the surface afterwards! It really does mean a thin layer. After hours of scotchbright scrubbing and a little extra oil to try soften what was already applied and a lot of elbow grease it did turn out okay in the end. After being applied properly the finish is pretty tough. It did make the wood darker than I expected but shows the grain really well and looks great. Bit slippy in socks!Overall I'm very pleased, just wish I'd read the instructions better.

Perfect for white oak handrails - highly recommended
Our carpenter recommended this stuff for white oak hand rails on the stairs.Note: This stuff is sticky and will destroy your microfibre cloths and brushes so be prepared to throw them out after use.Don't start the job unless you're sure no one will touch the oiled surface for 8-10 hrs.Rub down with a 180 grit pad (not sand paper!)Dust off with a microfibre cloth.Open and stir slowly but well with a lolly pop stick - DO NOT SHAKE.With a different, new, clean microfibre cloth, wipe the oil on with the grain, use as little oil as possible, spread it out as far as possible.Use a small fine detail paint brush to get in the awkward places, and up against other surfaces etc.Allow to dry for 8-10 hours.Apply a thin 2nd coat on new wood. One coat is enough for previously oiled surfaces.

Beautiful Matt floor.
I love my newly oiled kitchen floor! This product is amazing and so easy to apply. I wanted a really Matt look and having read all the reviews on here I am so pleased I didn't use the other available brands as it is fantastic. Worth waiting the week for delivery. It does smell a bit. I've been away 2 days and got home to a lovely waft of the oil even though I ventilated the house well when applying. Who cares about the smell when the floor is so delicious to look at! It is only 3 days since application so I'm sure the smell will go but its not unpleasant.I have spilt water on the floor today and it just lay there without penetrating the floor. My kitchen floor (excluding the kitchen units) is 4.5 by 2meters. I was worried a small 0.75litre tin would run out half way through. I applied 2 coats and used 2 thirds of the tin so have enough for another application in the future - good value for money.I applied using the Osmo brush 50mm. Ok for the job but I'm sure other brushes that do not lose their bristles would be equally as effective.Delivery wise the tin came very well packaged and arrived within the specified delivery time.

The media could not be loaded.
