Great for sanding!
The Bosch dust extractor is an absolute powerhouse! Its suction power is nothing short of impressive, effortlessly tackling even the finest dust particles with ease. It's a remarkable value for money, given its exceptional performance and the peace of mind it offers for a clean workspace. What's equally noteworthy is its remarkably low noise level, making it a pleasant and quieter addition to my workshop. The only exception is the filter unclogging tapping sound it makes about every 30 seconds, a feature which can be disabled via a button. Bosch has truly outdone themselves with this dust extractor, and it has quickly become an indispensable tool in my arsenal. If you're in search of a high-performing, cost-effective, and noise-conscious solution for dust extraction, this Bosch extractor deserves a resounding five-star rating.

Great little shop vacuum
I actually have two these, one lives permanently under and connected to my Bosch miter saw. The other roams around the shop cleaning up what ever needs cleaning. The auto activation feature is great. Automatically turns the vacuum on whenever you engage an attached power tool and shuts off a few seconds after the tool is powered off. I also use it to connect to my track saw, Kreg pocket hole jig and routers. Does a good job of keeping the dust and chips at bay.The auto filter clean system is a little noisy but it does a good job of keeping the filter clean. After having had several Craftsman shop vacs over the years that were in constant need of a good filter clean I will live with the noise. The only negative comment I have is that one would think given the price of these things Bosch would include a full set of attachments.

Amazing tool, must have for dusty jobs or using tools inside
Thoroughly impressed by this vac. I had a very cheap 30$ shop vac, and what a difference a good tool makes. It's quieter and has 2x of air flow which affects how much dust it collects. It also pretty smart device, when I removed the HEPA filter, thinking I can preserve it for the jobs outdoor - nope, it reduced power 2-3 times and disabled reverse automatic filter cleaning. Had to put it back.

Worth every dollar
We're a Bosch family. Our master shower needed to be replaced and that meant a lot of dust in a room that has no windows we could open for airflow. We bought this along with a new angle grinder and a few other tools that attached to the dust extractor in the hopes that it would cut back on the crap in the air. It worked pretty much flawlessly. We had to cut fiberglass, drywall, grind thinset, and much more. It picked up 99% or more of the dust.It does "Thump" every 30 seconds or so to clean the filter but you can turn that off. Another cool feature is being able to plug your power tool into the vacuum and have it turn on with the tool (it'll "thump" right before it shuts off - I kept thinking somebody was knocking on my door). It was expensive but one of those "you get what you pay for" kind of tools. This won't replace a shop-vac because it's pretty much for just collecting dust your tools are creating but it's definitely worth buying if you are grinding thinset off of an interior floor or having to do any kind of cutting inside.

Worth the Money
I was back and forth on purchasing this vacuum, due to the price. I paired this with the concrete polisher/grinder to take out high spots in my basement floor. It took about 10 minutes to knock off the peak at the joint. Very little dust was not captured, but was able to be sucked up afterwards.Very well made product as you would expect from Bosch.

works well - loud thump.
It makes a loud thump every 15 seconds with the auto filter cleaning turned on. You can turn it off - but everytime you restart the vacuum it defaults to being on.. Disposable Bags are about $4-7 a piece - i haven't tried the knockoffs yet. Otherwise a very heavy and solidly built unit. Despite the high CFM of these dust extractors - I'm not sure they work better than my shop vac for cleaning the floor - but they definitely keep the air cleaner..

Really Nice Dust Extractor - Works with Festool as Added Benefit
I purchased this vac and the accessories kit along with the Bosch concrete surface grinder to re-finish our floor with about 2000 square feet of tile and wood demo. This combo worked flawlessly for both thinset and wood glue removal in preparation for the new wood floor. Paid for itself in 1 job. The filter bags work really well. Even after filling up several times over with concrete dust the inside of the vacuum remained clean outside the bag. I read a few other reviews about this not working, and I'm not really sure how that could be.I now use the vac for things like cleaning out my fireplace and I also discovered that it works fine with Festool woodworking tools. I have the Domino system for joining and the Rotex RO 150 sander. The Bosch hose firs over the Festool port snugly as is with no adapter needed. It stays secure while working and needs no tape. Not really sure if it was intended to work this way, but it will suffice for now. Instead of buying a Festool vac (which I may eventually do) I could buy the Sander or another Festool product instead.

No more stopping to unclog filters
Initial few hour review using it with the Bosch drywall sander. Wish I had this sooner. The auto thumper allows me to just keep working while I would have to stop constantly to clean the filter out of the shop vac. It seems quieter than a shop vac, too. Love the spare plug in to use the auto turn on function. Hard justification for hobby but I do see the value if you're a pro. Love Bosch products. Only small gripe are the attachments. It requires Bosch compatible products but you can get adapters so not even that big of a deal.
