I gave this product 3 stars even though I returned it. I returned it because of expectation. I have been using a pair of hearing aids for 3 years that the rechargeable batteries are failing, and just to get them updated to new batteries was twice as much as purchasing these hearing aids - they were quite expensive when purchased. So, I thought I'd move to something more affordable and if they get damaged or lost then it is not such a big deal. The problem was/is moving from a very advanced set of hearing aids to these was just too big a leap. The biggest deal? - my current hearing aids are 'in ear' - yes they have a small, super light thing behind your ear (amplifier / microphone all that stuff), but what plugs in your ear canal - it plugs all the way in. What a difference as opposed to hearing aids that 'plug' your hearing canal like these do. Not only were these new ones uncomfortable to me, but also appearance wise they stuck out of my ears when looping up to the thing behind your ear. And the thing behind your ear, while amazingly small on these, there were still bigger and heavier than my prior pair. So it is all about expectation. If you start with a hearing aid like these, I feel like probability is you will be amazed and satisfied and this would be a 5 star review. I also found the reproduction / amplification of sound to be less 'true' on these than my prior pair, but still very acceptable (again, all about expectation).

I find these hearing aids difficult to install in my ears. I have tried all 3 size domes with little success.Changing the volume is unreliable (for me) Also changing the Mode is dificult, with little difference in the hearing environment.I thought that these hearing aids had the audio output as a microphone at the end of the audio tube - close to the ear drum - - - that may be too much to expect for a low cost hearing aid. - The amplifier is in the BTE unit and require a tube for sending the sound to my ears (this also requires more maintenance than expected including replacing the tube from time to time).I found that my own voice was way too loud for me when trying to have a conversation with another person and chewing my food was blocking-out all other sounds including conversation with my wife.Kitchens sounds such as running water or handling dishes and silverware blocked all other sounds in my ears, not to mention being too loud for me.Sorry to say, I have not yet found the right hearing aid - - - other products, including more expensive OTC units have similar problems and are not compatible with my Android Cell Phone.I can-not justify the cost of buying hearing aids for $3,000 to $7,000.00 per pair. I know that the audiogolist is entitled to a profit for their expertise BUT do not take advantage of me!The best unit for my wife was a Bose product that worked really well for several years, allowing us to make all of thea udio adjustments from an Ipad or smart cell phone. My wife and I both have a good understanding of Tonal range as well as sound volume settings.I wish that the Bose product was available at this time!

They're decent aids but very thick behind the ear pieces which caused a constant pain and the tubes are short so the bus wouldn't stay put in the canal. Also was not impressed with the auto on feature when removed from charging base and turning off/adjusting program or sound level wasn't very efficient.

My husband has severe hearing loss! We've bought hearing aids and hearing amplifiers and he neverCould understand what I was saying. Thank God, these hearing aids work wonders. He actually has ask me to turn the TV down. This is amazing!!!

Love the Sonic performance and fit. Left side battery only lasted a month! Won't take charge now. Ordered another set and got extended warranty. Another brand had terrible air tube noise, over amplified head noise/voice.

Every time I would go outside my right aid would quit due to sweat. I purchased because they were supposed to be waterproof.

There're okay if you can't afford better ones, they do make a difference in hearing for sure.
