GOOD VALUE REPLACEMENT TIPS
TREKOLOGY Black Trekking Pole Replacement Tips, 8pc/Set for Hiking Poles, Rubber, Walking Stick Replacement Tips / 11mm Hole Diameter - Fits Most Standard Hiking Poles.Eight rubber 11mm replacement tips for walking/hiking poles. These tips cover the usual spike on walking poles used on soft ground/snow. The tip allows the use of the pole on rock where the spike would slip and also allows use in urban areas where the poles are used on pavements as a walking stick. These are reasonably priced at £6.66 for the eight tips where some will cost that much for two. They are made of hard black rubber with a metal reinforcing ring inside. This will go some way to preventing the spike wearing through the rubber which is a common fault. The end is rounded with a deep “tread” which will help wear but the hard rubber does not give the grip on flatter surfaces which after all is one of the main uses. A easy remedy is to rough the end with a little course sandpaper and keep an eye on the surface in case this is needed again later. The fit is tight (but good) on my Black Diamond poles but losing a tip can happen when trekking so I carry a couple of spares – they don't take up any room and weight hardly anything.Overall a good set of replacement tips that will serve well and only need a little care if used in an urban scenario.4 STAR

Good firm fit, incorporates tip washer, excellent price. Recommended.
Spotted these on Vine and it reminded me that I needed new rubber feet for my poles. These are necessary to protect the pavement (not to mention avoiding other walkers turning their heads as you 'clack clack' along the road). After the usual quick delivery from Amazon, I dug out my poles - with various tips (see middle photo) - and fitted on the new rubber feet. They are a good firm fit (3rd photo), no chance of falling off.I was glad to discover they incorporated a washer (first photo) which may actually be moulded in (certainly I cound't get them to fall out). This prevents poles with a 'pointed tip' (see middle photo, top and bottom pole ends) from simply punching through their rubber ends (which is what happened to the original pole ends when the washer fell out)Then it's off for a long walk along the streets. Lots of firm stomping around later and I'm pleased to say the tips showed no signs of wear at all. Two more hour long walks with other poles and the new tips were still attached and still not showing wear. When you consider the price, less than a £1 each (£6.66 for 8) these are excellent value.I have no hesitation in recommending this product.

Simple to put on and take off
Disclosure. This is a review of a product I was sent for free via Vine. All opinions are my own.I lost the rubber tip for one of my walking poles years ago, so was very pleased to come across this replacement product. The website description indicated that it would fit most poles, and yes I found it was easy to put on and to take off again for my Leki pole.Very glad that it is so easy, since some walks are across terrain when I would prefer to swap back and forth between using a rubber tip or not.At £6.66 for 8 tips, the price is incredibly good value, so long as you remember where you have stored the other spare 7. I haven't looked to see whether there is an option of buying the spares individually, which would be more preferable.Haven't been out for a trek using it yet, but it looks securely in place, so I don't envisage any issues.

Tight and snug
These have a very tight and snug fit, so less likely get sucked off in the mud like tge one that I lost. Coming in a pack of 8 is also a good thing as it gives me 7 spares in case it should happen again (it happened once it is possible).I think that these caps are actually superior to the ones that came with my hiking poles in that the rubber looks thicker and more durable. They also have a metal washer inside to reinforce them and a more complex grip pattern where they make contact with the ground.I am a "Happy Hiker"!

Must have for TREKOLOGY users..
This item is made neccessary by the poor quality of the trecking pads included in the sold sets of trecking poles by this company. On a full day of trecking on everything for fields to road, to paths I find these tips to be worn out entirely, getting trapped on the stick. Therefore, the value of this pack is great provididing ample tips for a several day hiking trip.

Well made but not very grippy
Trekology is an up-and-coming US brand with a focus on well designed, affordable outdoor gear.I spend a lot of time walking off-piste, and do occasionally lose pole tips in bogs and boulder-fields. So when these were offered for review on Amazon Vine I snagged a pack to keep as spares. The quality of construction is fine, and they are a good fit for my PacerPoles. But considering that their copy emphasises enhanced traction, I'm disappointed by the grip.To be fair, the ends have a deep tread which will help in many scenarios. But the formulation of the rubber itself is harder than I'd like. I think there's a risk of it skidding on slick wet surfaces - something we see a lot of in UK conditions! This can be mitigated a little by roughing up the ends with a file before first use.The tips supplied by PacerPole are a softer rubber. They give a better grip, and the wear is acceptable. On the other hand they are over twice the price, so there's that.I think I'll use these for walks on relatively easy ground, where they should be fine, and spare my softer tips for rough walking. If most of your walking is on-trail, these are a good buy at the price.
