Much cheaper than ordering official PECS products. Much faster than printing out and laminating picture cards. Great starter for someone new to PECS

The cards were smaller than I expected

Be aware before you purchase this binder set, the set is made out of really cheap materials plus you have to build it yourself.Picture cards are printed on copy paper and were falling apart after just one day. Child's everyday activities are not included on these cards, I needed bath time, brush teeth, reading, sleeping etc.The dividers were so thin and flimsy, it ripped off from the binder with minimal use (see pictures). The most disappointing part of this set is that the velcro set they send does not match, I had to go to Walmart to purchase my own Velcro trying to make a use of this. They send the soft loop for both strip and the dot so the cards do not stick.As a busy mom, this took up a great deal of time and additional money, I will be returning this and do NOT recommend this to anyone.

The media could not be loaded. This is such a good value for what it is…I’ve seen similar sets on Amazon for quadruple the price and this one seems just as good if not better.I love that nothing is preset so you can customize it as needed. Another huge plus is that comes with a ton of communication cards, so you don’t need to make your own, which saves a ton of time.This really is a tool that can be a life changer for certain kiddos who struggle with verbalizing their needs. I am going to be recommending it to parents, teachers, and therapists because this is an amazing product!

Low quality and cards are not laminated for special needs children. It did not last one day.

When I got this, I noticed right away that the cards are made from thin paper that a child would very easily be able to rip up. Thankfully, I have a laminator, so I laminated all the cards. Because I had to take the time to do that, which was not easy as a mom of 4 disabled kids and a job...I took a star off. I should not have to make a product I paid for more durable.Also, there are NO instructions..the video was vague and I had to figure out what I'm supposed to do to set this up correctly and how to use it for my non-verbal daughter. The cards could be labeled on the back as to what category of word they should be grouped in (like a sight word or a request, etc). It just shouldn't be on the customer to figure it out, make it more durable and categorize everything. For those reasons, I have it 3 stars. I know my daughter has had success with a book like this at school, so that's why I bought it and expect that she can still use it to help communicate, so I did keep 3 stars because I do think it will still be helpful. It's just inconvenient right out of the box but once I finally get it all set up and functional, it should work as intended.
