This must be #4 of car hammocks for dogs that I have bought and tried in the last 10 years. Before, I got the regular soft ones, which required me to fill the space between the front and the back seats with something so that one or two large dogs would not be too heavy for the hammock and cause tear.This one is an actual seat EXTENDER with a sturdy 3-part foldable bottom. Not only does it help to keep your car clean from doggy hair, saliva and other possible whoopsies, but it serves as an actual relatively sturdy platform, so your fur ball can be as comfortable as possible during any car ride. The side parts can be zippered up and attached to the handle above the window via a strap on both sides, so your dog will be in his own 'travel compartment'.Teddy old dog with arthritis but also a serial shedder. Knowing he would be very comfortable while keeping most of his hair inside this special area, was a much appreciated convenience on this long drive. The hammock was secured with the typical headrest and seat straps. Teddy appreciated the additional non-slip blanket atop the extender. As you can see, there is a large mesh section towards the front of the car, so additional air from the vents is guaranteed. Apparently it also makes a great headrest for Mr Floof.At every overnight stop, I would took that hammock out and shook the shedded hair off. Easy peasy. Only takes a few minutes to get do and get it back in place. I highly recommend this seat extension hammock.

I'm not even exaggerating when I say I don't know how I survived before buying this. We have two large dogs (Doberman and German Sheperd) and this car seat extender has literally saved my life. It makes it SO much easier to bring the dogs places and it's so sturdy and easy to clean. It gives the dogs so much more space in the backseat and they're both able to fully lay down. A must-have for any large dog owner!

Game changer for me. My dogs never seem comfortable in the back seat, constantly pacing and can’t seem to relax. The first time I put my dogs in the car with this seat extender in, they laid down and my lab fell asleep within 5 minutes. The hard bottom is perfect, it stays in place well, doesn’t shift around. It protects my leather seats from their nails, and keeps their hair contained so it’s not coating every inch of my car. Worth it.

I love it except for the strap to attach to the dogs collar. First of all, there’s only one Irish there were two. Also, my big puppy chewed through it to free herself in 10 minutes. Maybe a small chain would be better. Otherwise, I love it.

this has worked great- we use it to extend the surface when we lay the seat down for a long drive. we use it the same as if it is on the seat and just extend the rest out flat and then pack on top of it. he also has a large crate pad we put on top- but the material on this seems very comfortable and durable. it keeps our pup from stepping off in the gap between front and back and gives him more room to spread out or move around. it easily folds back up and fits back in the storage bag. definitely a good purchase.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I really like this. I had others before but this has the extended bench and sturdy enough for my 2 labs. Obviously the mesh gate is not gonna hold a lab bk. Lol. This fits nicely in a 2024 Jeep Gladiator. I would definitely recommend.

I have put this in my new Subaru for my big German Shepherds and Aussie Blue Heeler. It has been a life saver already. My German Shepherd got car sick for the first in his older life and had a nasty accident. I was able to literally pull this straight out and pour some hot water over it and let it dry. Put it right back in like brand new. Nothing spilled on my seats from the accident. Holds all of them while riding and they like the extra room it gives them. I like that if I have to make a sudden stop I don't have to worry about legs and dogs flying everywhere. It stays in place, easy to clean, so far it has been durable. It is easy to take in and out so the kids can still ride quickly after the dogs. Just a couple of quick unbuckles and folds and I place it right in the trunk, reverse and I have it ready for the dogs again. Seats are protected.

Very sturdy backseat dog hammock. What sets this one apart from another one I had purchased is that the seat extension components are larger, this providing more stability.My 60 pounder ( still growing) easily moves around on it and lays down without any trouble. He’s expected to exceed 100 pounds, but I don’t foresee any problems with this product.
