Poor Choice
This rug is very suitable for wiping your feet on which I suppose is what you want from a barrier mat. My criticism is that the stripes are nothing like those on the example i.e. it is very insipid, in fact it looks so washed out that my husband (who notices very little around the house) asked if it was the fashion these days to buy old and worn looking things that were already stained. He was in fact referring to the heart in the corner of the pattern. I regret buying this mat because at the price I paid, I would in retrospect preferred to have bought 2 or 3 mats and simply disposed of them when they became worn. I made the choice, but the dimensions (which are clearly displayed) are really insufficient for the purpose of providing a dirt barrier so no, I do not recommend this product

The Hug Rug brand was recommended to me by a friend after I admired the couple she had in her home. Yes, they aren't a cheap option for a door mat but are well worth the money. I loved the range of designs. The mat has been highly effective in trapping dirt. I've not washed it as yet but it vacuums easily.

looks good.
Good quality product, though rather expensive. Looks good but it does move about despite the backing.

When you walk on the rug the pile moves and looks dirty, maybe it was the light colour I chose. I'm sending mine back. Disappointed, as the colour was perfect.
