Quality.
Warning, Do Not Microwave !.Go back to basics, remove the outer label and simmer in a pan of water of 20/25 minutes, but do not open, keep sealed whilst simmering. When open, run a thin knife around the contents and upend and press down on the base and you should get a clean release. This is a product from the past, grab it whilst you can, it will go sooner or later. It does have a real meat filling, Just Steak is also an option, worth the expense.

Great
I scraped all the filling out of the pastry case, onto a plate and gently mix in about a teaspoon of medium hot curry paste, and about a tablespoon of instant mash potato, put all the filling back in the pastry and metal case, cooked it as you would any steak pudding, by placing a piece of kitchen foil on the top, securing the foil tight and placing in a pan of boiling water, make sure the level of water is only up to the neck of the case, leave to simmer for about hour, top up the water level if need be. And most importantly Do Not Microwave this product, as instructed. No Way.

A bit oily
My husband had this tonight and was happy with it. We used to buy Goblin meat puddings many years ago and it seemed the same. Personally they are not for me although I loved Goblins as a child. Easy to cook in the microwave I was a bit concerned when it looked like there was a metal rim but it was no problem. The pie is for 2 people but my husband polished it all off along with green veg. I used kitchen roll to mop up the oil that leaked onto the plate. Ok for an occasional treat and to keep handy in the cupboard.

Makes a good paperweight!
This really wasn't worth the long wait before delivery!A promisingly large pud shaped metal container, easily opened by way of a pull ring pull reveals a large piece of thick, stodgy suet with micro sized fragments of meat and gravy.Very disappointed, the only reason I ate it was that I was really hungry and hate waste!

Bushtucker trials
Absolutely the worst thing I've tasted this last 10yrs, possibly ever, fray bentos used to be a go to brand but this thing is disgusting, when heated it just stank of urine, I'm not a fan of eating in a train station toilet so it wasn't for me. If you want a bit of fun surprising friends with bushtucker trials then go with this.

Full of meat
My husband was complaining that he hadn’t had a steak and kidney pudding since forever. He was very sceptical about a microwaveable pudding so expectations were low. He was really impressed! This is the bigger version - probably for two but full of meat and flavour.

thick pastry that was horrible (I like my suet pudding) and I could not ...
Bought this, assuming it was the old "cook for ages" Fray Bentos. Instead, it was microwave for 3 minutes. Stodgy, thick pastry that was horrible (I like my suet pudding) and I could not tell the difference between the steak and the kidney. I will not buy again. Fray Bentos was always a reliable brand if you wanted a pie or pudding, without making it yourself. It's off my list for ever!

Absolute rubbish
I haven't tasted anything more awful than this. Suet pastry so gluey, and the meat content abysmal. I have got a few left, but will leave for the food bank. At least there is something in the stomach for someone hungry.
