High-gloss shine keeps it crisp in this tuxedo oxford. In 1892, Milton Florsheim began producing shoes in a small factory located in Chicago, Illinois. The first pairs of Florsheim shoes made by Milton and his father, Sigmund, were a remarkable combination of style, comfort and high quality workmanship. This tradition continues today with the Florsheim family's commitment to producing trend-right, high quality footwear. Florsheim shoes are always available in a wide range of sizes and widths.

Excellent quality, looks, and comfort.
I usually wear a 4E. I had to settle for a 3E but they were good enough. Wore these the next day to a formal affair. I wore them during the day to detect any hot spots. I found one on my left big toe. I put a band aid on the sore spot and then wore these for two or three hours that evening in perfect comfort. They look great, they feel great. They even LOOK like excellent quality shoes.

A simple and elegant men's formal footwear choice at a reasonable price.
I recently purchased a modestly priced but sharp looking custom tailored midnight blue tuxedo from Indochino for a black tie wedding and I needed shoes. I had all the details of the tux tailored with classic suit style (slim single breasted, single button jacket with peak lapels, functioning sleeve buttons, no pocket flaps, no venting) and only patent leather formal footwear would do.I decided to purchase them rather than rent in order to complete my 'ownership' of a complete tuxedo for future black tie events. So, came to amazon. Saw simple looking patent leather shoes for a reasonable purchase price to match the tux. Florsheim is a quality brand. Bought two pair at different sizes with the intention of keeping the size that fit best. Yep.These shoes were the perfect choice. Especially if you're looking for a more 'starter' shoe. I had more fun on the dance floor when I wasn't worried about possibly scuffing a $400-500-or-higher pair of shoes, and I didn't break my wallet buying them.*ONE SIZING CAVEAT* -- my feet measure as an 8.5 (US) on a Brannock device, yet I kept the 7.5 (US) sizing. So in my experience, you should consider buy at least a size down. Needless to say, amazon's return policy is stellar and the size 8US shoes were returned and the cost refunded very quickly.10/10 would buy again.

bought these for my 17 yo son's prom. he has huge, wide feet.... 12-13 triple E to quadruple E, so finding shoes to fit him is always a nightmare. these shoes are gorgeous but he did have trouble sliding his foot in, even with the laces undone completely. otherwise he was in them for about 6 hours and didn't complain this am. since his foot is done growing, i didn't have too much trouble spending this much on his tuxedo shoes knowing he will likely wear them again and again through his lifetime.

The most comfortable shiny shoes ever.
I've previously only worn rental shiny shoes with rental tuxedos. When I bought my own tuxedo for my wedding, I decided to get shoes to go with it and I'm extremely pleased. Most patent leather shoes I've worn were so incredibly uncomfortable I wanted out of them inside of an hour. These fit like normal dress shoes and didn't dig in to my heel or pinch me anywhere. I've worn them for 10+ hours at a stretch with no blisters or numbness. I'd call that a huge win.

The shoes were beautiful, I just couldn't wear
I ordered a size 13M and a 11M. The larger size was needed for a brace I wear on my left foot. I was unable to get the shoe halfway on. The 11m is what I normally wear for my right foot, and I was barely able to get my foot all the way in, and the sides were so narrow my ankle hurt. I had to take it off in a hurry. The shoes were beautiful, I just couldn't wear them

Well made but squeaky ;?
These shoes would be OK if you like the fit of a narrow toe. Husband found them to be tight in the toe & could not wear (had to return). Also they were kind of squeaky when he walked. This would be noticeable if room was quiet! Lacked the bad smell that patent shoes sometime have. Nice quality otherwise.

Great dress shoes
Finally I was able to find a very well constructed pair of dress shoes. The black patent finish makes them perfect for a night out, attending a wedding, or just wearing to the office. The all leather soles are a bit slippery at first, but I spent an evening ballroom dancing in them and never had to change shoes. The half rubber heal provides traction while walking, but doesn't interfer with heal turns while dancing. The shoes were stiff at first, but there were no sharpness on the back ridge of the shoe to cut into my heal and the snugness across my feet is quickly going away. I commend Florshiem for continueing to make quality shoes.

Too Small for an 11 3E
These Tuxedo shoes are very well made and look great. I have worn 11 3E shoes comfortably before but these would not fit. I had to struggle with a shoehorn for several minutes and when I got them on they were too tight that it was painful to keep them on. Perhaps they were mislabeled.I exchanged them for a 12 3E pair, which was shipped promptly by Amazon and without hassle. The 12 3E fit much more comfortably. I would give the 12 3E 4-5 stars.

Fit perfect and snug
Fit perfect and snug; look and feel is high quality. They seem a bit stiff, so will need to wear around the house a bit before my wedding next month.
