The Gardening Book Hardcover – January 1, 2003

I bought this book for my granddaughter. really good. it give directions on how to mix poster paint with a special kind of glue to paint rocks. it is easy to just buy martha stewart textile paint at walmart. this book does have a lot of really good ideas for kids but also just to jazz up your garden.

I haven't opened it yet as it's a gift for my granddaughter.. She will be excited to open it with the regular mail packaging since it is also exciting for her to have mail. I'm going to slip it into her mailbox on her birthday, so I have not seen it yet.. We have to wait until August.

I gave this to some kids in my neighborhood who loved to help in my garden and were moving. I like the artsy science things but had hoped for a few more in the ground type garden things too. But maybe this appeals more. Nice gift regardless.

This book was a gift to a young mom and her 2 yr old to start them working in the yard. Both seem to like it.

I didn't realize that it was a kids book. Yet overall it is great for ideas and beginners of all ages.

Bought this book for our granddaughter who is 5 years old. At was appropriate for her age and her interest in plants and flowers.

Looks good and lots of practical and simple advice for kids. However a little things.

What is appealing about this book for children is that simple gardening projects that have been done in families for decades e.g. growing cress in a yoghurt pots are brought to life with little dinky plastic toys and bright colours that will appeal to pre-school age and beyond.

Grand children love the book
