Great product backed by great service!
I ordered a set of NEALs to replace the Bones Swiss 6 bearings that I've been using for about 3 years now. I use them for inline hockey, so a lot of hard stops, quick starts, sharp turns, and transitions forward to backward to forward again. This review was a little bit difficult for me to do. Basically, the NEALs provided such a smooth ride, almost immediately, that I forgot they were there, which is exactly what I look for in a quality set of bearings. I constantly had to remind myself to focus on the bearings so that I could provide you guys with some kind of useful feedback. I seem to remember needing to break in my Bones for about 3 games to get the same kind of performance I got right out of the box with the NEAL bearings. They roll smooth and fast, even during transitions, and have a nice solid feel that makes you know you've got a great bearing.I also want to mention the great service I got from Steve Neal and his team. I did not have any problems, just some general questions about their product. Many companies will just direct you to their website's FAQ section, but the folks at NEAL took the time to answer all my questions personally, They are obviously a company that values their customers and believes in their products. In short, my experience with both the bearings and the company has been great. For me, the NEAL bearings seemed to be even a little better than the Bones Swiss 6. Add in that they are half the price and backed by great customer service, and NEAL has made a lifetime customer out of me!***UPDATE***: About a year later, the titaniums were still going strong with very little maintenance on my part. I didn't really need new bearings, but I enjoyed the titaniums enough, and the quality had proven more than sufficient, that I decided to upgrade to the ceramic hybrids anyway. Had a handful of skates so far, and absolutely love them. Again, virtually no "break in" period required. They roll smooth, fast, and quiet right out of the padded and protective box they ship in. Plus, and this is a minor thing but I'll throw it in anyway, the all black bearings look damn sharp with my Revision Steel wheels. The titaniums are outstanding bearings, but the ceramics are a bit better. Lighter, but still with a solid feel. Maybe it's just because they're new, but they seem a bit faster, too. If I'd known a year ago the kind of quality Neal was producing, I'd have gone straight for the ceramic hybrids right from the start, rather than "testing" on the less expensive (but still awesome) titaniums first.I only wish I could give Neal bearings a 6th or 7th star!

Top Flight Bearings
These are excellent bearings. Although I had never worked with skates ), I have considerable experience with a variety of bearings and in years of motorcycle and car racing applications too. I ordered these ( Titanium) after looking at a few here on Amazon to refresh my daughters inline skates with new wheels and new bearings. These Neal bearings are precision made and have an excellent finish. I didn't need to mic them for rebuilding skate, but I did measure the new bearings with Starret dial calipers and all 16 were spot on. I fit and tested a couple against her stock bearings and the wheels with the new Neals exhibited a much improved general rolling resistance as expected. We used the Blue Belles 76mm wheels sold here on Amazon and the aluminum insert spacers. Her skates are rolling so much smoother and she likes the results. She even won an informal race at the rink with them so it is all smiles. At some point I will pull the wheels off and remove the bearings and clean them and relubricate these bearings to keep her skates rolling smoothly. No doubt that these are up to the task to remain in service. These will be the first that I look to in the future as well. I don't write a lot of reviews but this is a high quality product at a moderate price.

Bones Swiss still Beats Neal Bearings but not by Much
I have been a user of the Bones Swiss ever since I started longboarding around campus. Recently I built a new longboard and got these Neal Bearings for a change since the reviews were pretty good. I am not gonna lie for the price these bearings are pretty decent. They are for sure much quieter than the Bones Swiss. Overall if you just want quality bearings that will get you around these Neal Bearings are surprisingly pretty good.

Best 20 bucks I ever spent!
"Swiss" or "ceramic" are buzzwords when it comes to bearings. I never quite understood what Swiss meant. So I literally refused to pay much attention to them until I bought an expensive board and found the bearings wanting for quality. I was determined to not pay more than 20 dollars. Zumies will happily sell you some ten flat specials that literally give you about as much. Watching Braille skateboarding and vinh bangs YouTube brought these to my attention. The performance is amazing. Right off they are so smooth and free. They literally glide on. My 36 inch longboard actually performs like it should now, making commuting less of leg day and more of a cruise. Time will tell what my larger boards behave like, but these bearings are my new must have update. Very very impressed. Will continue to be a loyal customer!
