Very pigmented!
This lipstick is so bright! It is perfect if you want a big pop of color with your lips! The packaging and tube is super cute, I honestly haven't seen anything like it before. It applies super smoothly and doesn't leave any clumps or uneven spots. It is super pretty on and has a great finish that is matte, but not drying. After some time, one day I opened the tube and twisted it up and the lipstick just fell off. I always applied it with the product only out of the tube as much as I needed it to be so I'm not sure what happened, but regardless the product is so pretty!

Comfortable very saturated lightweight matte | Ashley=Saturated vibrant maroon
This is an excellent 1-swipe pigmented lipstick that dries down in a stain type of way with a base that penetrates more via light oil method rather than a cream layer . This along with the color saturation also allows the ability to sheer it out easily . So it dries down close to the lips where you cannot really detect or feel any type of layer, the only feeling is (physically dry to the touch) something maybe like a hint of dry oil matte type feel on your outer layer rather than feeling like your lips are pruning up. This great for me as I like to apply balm first, and I feel that won't affect the color saturation or wear negatively compared to layering balm underneath a super creamy waxy style lipstick.Nearly akin to a dry stain but its not so dry to dehydrate your lips like some others or be completely transfer-proof. You can buff with your finger and blot and the remnants are like that of watercolor, just very finely/nicely smoothly blended. Its like it's a sheer formula which applies full, opaque strength right off the bat.. so only sheer in that the pigment is so finely milled and formula allows it to spread so deep & far.. (like paint!)Color: Ashley in person was darker than expected & even photos are hard because the brown doesn't come through.. Goes on darker like cool brown + warm red blend = darker cherry, vibrant maroon.. After wearing and it fading/ sinking in its progressively, predominantly redder, my inner lip more faded but stays quite awhile on the more untouched outer portion of my lips, to the point I can blend the unfaded color portion downwards and pat it into the inner portion that's faded. The darker cherry with a hint of brick / cool tone brown undertone is not the most *naturally* flattering for me for spring/summer on my neutral pale skin but not too bad either because its mixed with warm red to make somewhat of a neutral versus orange or too much purple. You can then layer again the color atop the more light cherry brick red base stain it brightens to after an hour, and build up more intensity of color..Really glad I ordered this and I absolutely want the rest of the colors now, seeing as the one I thought might Not work (this one) actually worked a bit as far as color.. it's nuanced/ interesting.. definitely did not look bad { I'm suuper picky with lip color.} In fall + doing the rest of my makeup it'd be easy. There is no fragrance/scent or flavor, nothing offputting as far as taste of the natural oils. The box is cardboard with metallic debossed detail, and the ingredients/ details printed in soy ink ~ The bullet is lighter weight plastic mostly (not metal) but it all still feels nice quality and sometimes we appreciate light weight :) The base is just maybe *slightly* heavier but not to the extent I was convinced it was metal, possibly light aluminum, either way it's attractive, functional and the extra engravings + DD on the stick is a nice touch :)I consider this correctly valued with the unique nuanced color that was fun to experience, as well as the super pigmented yet lightweight blendable stain-like formula that dries down matte close to lips without the more dramatic dehydrating you sometimes expect with such! Well done!

Would def get this brand again!
I'm no expert in makeup, but I would consider this brand as nice higher end lipstick. The brand Dear Dahlia even considers its products as being, "luxury products." A quick Google search will also show that typically lipstick prices range from $5-$50 (with some likely variance). Anyways at $34 (cost at the time order placed/ currently on sale for $31.80 at time of review), I say that makes it fall in the luxurious category the company claims. Anyways, aside from whether or not ppl are going to classify it as "cheap" or "designer.." (some do care about it).. it does have some things going for it. The first is the bottle/ case the lipstick is in. It's obviously pretty fancy looking, and I found the choice of design and color to be quite pleasant visually. As for the lipstick color and feel, it looks awesome on my wife and she absolutely loves it. In addition the products made by Dear Dahlia are strictly vegan made, and the website makes it crystal clear that providing products that produce the best results without containing anything that came from animals.. not even beeswax. Additionally they state that no part of their product testing involves animals. Lastly, some research told me that the company originated in South Korea before becoming available in several other countries in North America, Asia, and Europe however it's apparently been put up for sale as of February 2024, so I'd recommend getting some of their products while they're avaliable if you're interested.. as we know.. changing of ownership can sometimes drastically affect a brand and its products so Dear Dahlia might not be avaliable forever unfortunately.

Arrived smashed in the lid
This is a beautiful color of lipstick. Bordering on a pinkish red, it is sure to draw attention. Unfortunately, mine arrived smashed in the lid. I tried gently prying it out so I could seat it back into the bottom, but the lipstick itself was so soft that it just made a bigger mess. I really wanted to use this so I now store it upside down and use a lip brush to dip into in order to get some to wear. The lipstick is softer than a lot of the formulas I have, but it's a beautiful color. I rated it the way I did based on the way it arrived smashed, and the softness of the lipstick. It's made with a very soft wax that isn't as boldly colored as it could be.

Gorgeous Lips!
DEARDAHLIA'a Lip Paradise lipstick truly IS paradise...it glides on like a dream! The shade I have, Ashley, leaves my lips with a gently cherry red stain that is perfection. By dabbing it on, the lipstick acts as more of a long-lasting lip stain. It did not leave my lips dry or flaky, and it's even better with a swipe of gloss. Gorgeous lips with no effort whatsoever--an amazing product!

Unappealing Shade and Very Drying
I got this lipstick in the color Ashley. I'd describe it as a rose-orange color, which is not that pretty in the tube and also looks quite ugly on me. It is very matte and makes my lips instantly go bone dry. There is really nothing I like about it, except the tube, which is kind of pretty.
