The rain was also a problem as I had also heavy down pours but alas the tent never let in a single drop.What I would say and it might be a deal breaker for some is, when your sitting upright your head will touch the top of the inner skin and I am 5ft 10 but you became used to it. Also it is a defo 1 man tent. You have enough room for yourself and you gear and I had a lot of that. Most of the kit went arounf my body when I was lying down and the was plenty of room for it. There is also plenty of room between the inner and outer skins which was the TWO DOOR areas. The tent was quite warm when the inner skin was zipped up also. The two door system for me was a must as when you have it erected, you then have a choice which side you exit from depending on the wind direction and if it changes which it will through time.The tent was very easy to put up and I hadn't it even out of the wrapper so I didn't even get to practise before hand as I hadn't time. It took me about 15 minutes and that was taking my time.The tent is very small when packed and also very light, so it fitted in my backpack with ease.What I would say again as I have learnt from other tent use. When taking it down, let it dry out well before packing it away as this prevents mildew forming in the inner skin were possible.I have included a photo of the tent which I took for this review which might help make your mind up but in my opinion I WOULD recommend it to the lone backpacker who wants a good tent which is light, strong and can stand up to the elements when needed. The tent comes wrapped in a bag to keep it in, the bag is non-waterproof, which is a small let down. Although you will have no problems with rain or wet ground, if you pack the tent while the outside is wet then everything will be damp when you next set it up. Since I didn't have time to let it dry, I gave the inside a quick wipe with a small towel I was carrying then there was no problem. The inside is spacious but only the very short would be able to sit up. The only other problem I can think of is that I would not recommend this for two people unless you are a couple. The space between the inner and outer tent has plenty of room for baggage, but there is no ground cover in this part. This is an excellent one person tent - but would be claustrophobic for two with gear I think. Putting the tent up is intuitive and simple. After the first time, you can leave the inner attached to the outer which also speeds up camp set up and is excellent for when you arrive in the rain and need to keep the inner dry. The poles are colour coded (hardly revolutionary these days) and are well made. The supplied pegs are on the lightweight side - they lasted a few trips but then began to bend so I have replaced these. The double aspect doors is welcome and the tent is well nicely vented to reduce condensation. It is small enough to remain relatively warm (I've had it in down to -3) and is robust in strong rain and heavy wind with no leaks. Neither porch has a ground sheet so I use a dry stack for anything I am storing outside the tent. It has two internal pockets and a torch hook - all fairly standard fare in tents of this level. I would have no hesitation in recommending this tent although there is a compromise for the price - the door can be a bit fiddly to get in and out of and the large pole frame can be a bit awkward to get so that the tent door opens as it is meant to. However, in terms of value for money - there is little to chose between this and the Vango so do a price comparison. The Aravis performed brilliantly, keeping me dry and warm throughout. Setting it up is easy (it can be done in less than 5 mins with practice). The quality of material is high (rip-stop fabric which seems very strong) and there are some nice details e.g. (1) a hook inside the tent, which allows you to hang a light/lantern (2) two large storage pockets and (3) reflective cord on the guy lines to make them visible at night, so that you don't trip over them. A lot of thought has went into the design of this tent. Having door on either side is very convenient, and with the fly sheet close there are two large porch areas created (one on each side) where you can put a rucksack, shoes etc--anything you want to keep dry overnight.For £76 this tent is a bargain. In terms of specs, it is similar to the Vango Banshee - a tent which gets rave reviews. The Aravis deserves similar accolades. For me, it offered something which the Banshee could not - size. I'm 6' 5\" tall. Most tents, including the Banshee, are not long enough for me to stretch out inside. No such problem with the Aravis. It is more than long enough. Like most tents advertised as 'two man' tents, this is optimistic. In reality, the Aravis 2 would not comfortably fit two adults, It is however an excellent solo tent. Vom starken Regen, der bis zu zwei Tage anhielt, bis hin zu starkem Wind und Gebieten mit enorm vielen Insekten, Ameisen, Stechmücken und dergleichen. Ich benutze es als ein Mann-Zelt mit einem sehr bequemen Feldbett. Während den starken Regen-Episoden haben sich Rinnsale unterhalb der Aussenplane gebildet, die grösstenteils dank der Kapilarität zu den Seiten abgeflossen sind, durch die steten äusseren Regentropfen sind dann doch einige auf das Innenzelt gefallen und es waren sehr feine Tröpfchen die auf einen herabfielen. Aber für den Regen den ich miterlebt habe, haben meine Bekannten anhand der Bilder gesagt, das ist völlig normal(da dieses mein erstes eigenes Zelt ist, wollte ich mich dahingehend austauschen).Da ich anfangs nicht immer eine extra Bodenplane benutzt hatte, habe ich an einigen Stellen in der doch recht dünnen Zelt-Bodenplane bis zu 4 Löcher bekommen. Diese konnten mit speziellen Zelt-Flicken ohne grosse Umstände beseitigt werden. Möchte man an einem neuen Morgen das Zelt öffnen, so kommt man nicht darum, dass einige Tropfen Wasser ins Zelt gelangen, dass sollte aber kein grosses Problem darstellen. Auch ist es so, das sich die äusseren Zelt-Reissverschlüsse des öfteren in dem Stoff verfangen. Dieses Problem bedarf einer eigenen Technik an die man sich nach und nach gewöhnt. Die seitlichen Bereiche um das Innenzelt herum bieten eine Menge Stauraum und schützen vor Regen. Man kann ebenfalls beide Seiten des Innenzeltes vom Außenzelt lösen und den Seitenbereich noch mehr vergrössern, falls man bei Regen im Zelt kochen möchte. Dabei benutze ich einen Spirituskocher. Wichtig ist, das man im Gefühl hat, wie gross die Flamme wird, aber mir ging es nur darum, dass dieses Zelt auch die Möglichkeit zum regengeschützten Kochen bietet. Was ich hier noch als Tipp gebe, einen kleinen Fettspritzschutz. Wichtig beim Aufbau dieses Zeltes. Die Längsseite der Füsse muss immer nach unten ausgerichtet sein. Bei schrägen Ebenen, sitzt man also nur noch nebeneinander nach vorne sehend. Auf ebenen Flächen kann man zu zweit locker 30 cm um den höchsten Punkt des Zeltes herum aufrecht sitzen und auch mal einen regnerischen Tag im Zelt verbringen. Nur für die Orientierung, ich bin 181cm gross. Die Lüftung funktioniert für mich einwandfrei, diese ist nicht regulierbar. Sind die Spannseile gespannt, bleibt die Lüftung offen. Durch die Lüftung hatte bisher noch an keinem Morgen das Gefühl, das sich das Zelt dampfig oder stickig angefühlt hat. Wenn es durch die nicht zu schliessenden Lüftlucken zu kalt werden sollte, einfach mit einem warmen Schlafsack ausgleichen. Liegt man längs im Zelt gibt es genug Platz neben, hinter und vor sich, um noch diverses zu verstauen. Auch gibt es im Kopfbereich zu jeder Seite noch 2 Taschen. Oberhalb eine Schlaufe für ein Zeltlicht und 2 seitliche Luftlöcher mit Insektenschutz, diese leider etwas zu klein um sie als Fenster oder Aussicht benutzen zu können. Aber nun das wichtigste. Wenn es draussen schön ist und man sein Zelt direkt vor der Aussicht seiner Wahl aufgestellt hat, kann man beide Seiten komplett öffnen und man hat das Gefühl ein Panorama-Zelt zu besitzen. Die Aussicht ist einfach sagenhaft!Das Packmaß ist für mich als Fahrradfahrer sehr von Vorteil. Das Zelt besitzt nur 2 Stangen-Stecksätze in Form von leicht gebogenen Alubögen, was das Zelt nur durch spannen stehen lässt aber es auch für seine grösse für den Transport auch sehr leicht macht. Le montage est vraiment très simple. Après comme indiqué je n'ai pas tendu la toile avec les fils. On monte la toile intérieure et extérieure en même temps ce qui offre un gain de temps et le tapis de sol est étanche donc pas besoin de s'encombrer avec un autre.Le démontage et rangement est très rapide, même seul. En cinq minutes c'est torché.La tente arrive avec tout l'équipement nécessaire.POIDSOccupant une place de 40 x 15 cm pour un poids de 2,4 kg, le poids n'est pas dérisoire mais en gros c'est un peu moins lourd que les canadiennes que j'utilisais il y a 20 ans. Les piquets sont en alu creux et pourtant bien résistants. Les tiges sont en alu et très légères. La toile en 210 T est très fine mais résistante et surtout elle est en ripstop, un procédé de fabrication qui intègre un tissage évitant aux déchirures éventuelles de s'aggraver. Deux plaques de réparation ou rustines sont fournies avec. Néanmoins la toile est très légère pour sa résistance.CONFORTPour une personne, c'est royal. Pour deux, il faudra ne pas avoir peur du contact humain. C'est clairement suffisant à deux et en trek si on doit porter sa tente sur le dos c'est bien. Par contre pour sortir une toile de tente dans un jardin ou sur un camping, mieux vaut être à un dedans auquel cas c'est très confortable.Une fois bien tendue, l'espace de couchage laisse également un espace de rangement le long de la toile intérieure. On a 4 pochettes intérieures et un crochet en haut pour la lampe.Pour aérer, on a plusieurs moustiquaires pour la nuit et on peut ouvrir la tente des deux côtés pour éviter de trop chauffer. Il y a des attaches pour tout faire tenir de manière astucieuse.La toile est légère mais offrira une résistance assez confortable aux intempéries. Son format profilé est adapté également pour résister au vent.Le tapis de sol est équipé mais très fin, une toile juste un peu plus résistante que la toile de toit donc il faut envisager un petit tapis en plus sous le sac de couchage.Au final, pour ce prix, on a une tente confortable, facile à monter et démonter et portable en randonnée.
