Smooth, quiet ride
Easy to install, fits well on my magicycle cruiser pro. Much quieter then the original snobby tire that came with the bike. Good tread thickness and not a heavy tire. My range has improved around 10% with the new tires. Good grip on dry pavement, have not had it on wet pavement yet but the tread design seems like it will work fine. 120 miles on new tires. Very happy.

Beefy!
Having just gotten a pair of ebikes I have found a whole new category of things to look at and try. The fact that they were used means many of the parts are approaching replacement time anyway. So Vine is a great way to try out different items, but it also is making my bikes look like a test in progress, because it's never 2 of anything such as tires, brakes, things that are exclusively found in pairs on bicycles. So I look very much the part of a reviewer as I roll down the road with all my mismatched parts. First to go was the front tire in favor of a gumwall street tread by Innova that I like very much as I have no illusions of off-roading on my folding bike that is very much in cargo hauling mode. But then along comes this brutish-looking beast and of course I was tempted. Tempted enough to give it a spin and before even mounting it I was impressed. I'd heard a few folks mention the idea of mounting motorcycle tires on the fat-tired bicycles, but I didn't realize that with this tire I essentially had.Yes it comes folded up, the street tire had come unfolded(I didn't want to say flat) and therefore was prettier to look at and ready to install quicker than the folded tire could be. But having the original front to compare the difference was HUGE. The original knobby felt like a thin sock compared to a 9-eyelet stomping pair of Doc Martens. And at weigh-in it was obvious these were in different classes altogether a svelte 2lbs 5 oz for the rather worn original CST knobby-ish tire and a whopping 5lbs 13 oz for the Hycline. I had previously gotten some TPU tubes that offer a 20oz decrease over the original butyl rubber tubes, but I wasn't sure about using one in the rear. They do tend to lose pressure when sitting and I don't mind inflating before a ride, but they seem so dainty that I'm going to need to log more miles on the front one before I'm willing to put one under my posterior. The bikes are already rear-biased even before I climb aboard, not to mention the rear rack. I'm starting to think I should have gone for the front rack first, there isn't much keeping the front wheel attached to the pavement.I got a pair of tire liners to use with the untested and unknown TPU tubes, but they ruined the smooth ride of the street tire, giving it a squared-off feeling and terrible handling and I had figured they would be a good addition to the rear on each bike to ward off the more difficult on-road repair, but I'm not seeing any need to beef this monster up and the weight savings is more appreciated every time you ride, I'm not worried. Sp while this may not be the exact tire I imagined, if knobbies are in your future and you don't mind adding substantial rolling, unsprung weight I can give this beast 2 thumbs up. Let it relax from being bound up and take your time installing and seating the bead and then let her rip. If you are considering this for a dirt bike, go for it, it's probably a good lightweight alternative for a real motor bike

Much more quiet than knobbies
Replaced the knobbies on my ebike with these... The ride is a lot more quiet on pavement, and I feel I'm getting a few more miles out of them per charge. Still has enough grip for light trails and gravel, but I wouldn't take them out on rough trails or sand. I can't speak to the longevity of the tires, as I just installed them. Thus far I'm happy with them.

Comes folded but relaxes to normal shape in about a day
THE major difference between this tire and the ones that came on my electric bike is the WEIGHT. I had no idea how much more these tires weigh. My original tires weigh 2lbs 9ozs while this tire weighs 5lbs 10ozs. This tire adds about 3lbs and 1oz just for one of these tires on my bike. If I had 2 of these tires on my bike that's 6lbs 2ozs. That is a major factor for me because I have to pick up these bikes and put them into totes for transporting them to the rail to trail parking lot. The bike already weighs 62lbs so adding 2 of these tires would total out the bike at 68lbs.That's the penalty I have to lift each time I take these bikes out to ride and put them back in the totes to take home in order to get the extra puncture resistance feature that these tires are specially marketed for. IF I rode in conditions or on trails where there is a HIGH probably of puncture from thorns or other sharp objects, then I would happily do the extra lifting. BUT since I haven't had a single puncture or flat in the 7,800 miles I have been using original brand tires, I can't rationalize the extra work lifting these tires.I can understand the attraction of a puncture resistance tire if you need them - these tires are definitely built to take extra loads, resist puncture, and stand up to rough trails. Their cost is about the same as less density tires so that's a plus if you need them.SO my recommendation is: IF you need the extra protection that these tires offer, then I highly recommend them. IF however, you have to pick up your bike 2 to 4 times every time you go riding on your favorite trail, then consideration should be given to the strength and age of your back.Thank you, Hycline, for allowing me to sample your fine product and WHEN I get a little older and decide to stop lifting my bike for riding away from home, then I will certainly use this tire with confidence. Notice I still offer a 5 star rating because there are folks who need your tires.

Big Beefy Tire!
Big Beefy Tire. Weighs over 5 lbs compared to a fresh Kenda Krusade 20" x 4" that weighed 2.7. Large thick lugs should help protect flats from road debris. Mounted without issue and seems to roll true. The test will be its wear resistance over time. Value is a bit of a wild card as it is as expensive as name brand tires but judging by its weight, has the possibility of being more durable. My son tends to go through tires and brake pads on his e-bike like a hot knife through butter so I'm crossing my fingers that this will last longer. I'm going to give it 5 stars based mostly on how substantial it is. Fingers crossed this helps and will try to update with some longer term updates.
