This review is for the UPGRADED version with the semi rigid cable.I bought this to replace a cheapo version (not the same make) before realising that a flexible cable made life very difficult, as the camera would flop about all over the place. The cable on this one is indeed semi rigid, and stays in place when you bend the cable. This makes it very easy to poke it thought a hole and manipulate it to look around. If you straighten the cable, it will stay horizontal for about 30cm before it starts drooping.The image quality was surprisingly good - not brilliant, but much better than my old one and quite sharp. Focus is down to about 6cm. Colours are good.The right angle attachment will cause the image to "white out" if used with the light. Too many reflections I guess.The attachments screw on, which is good as it means they won't fall off into a black hole.Setting up the WiFi link was trouble free, and worked very well. Very pleased with this, better than expected.

Now the small bug that prevented me from using this with my iPad Pro has been fixed I can say this is a really useful camera that produces excellent images - especially at the highest pixel-count. In use, the camera does get warm but it functions very well: the variable-brightness LEDs provide excellent illumination and the iOS app provides both still- and moving- image recording as desired. I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it!PREVIOUS REVIEW:The product itself seems OK but the iOS app is not compatible with my iPad Pro: the “start” button on the first screen is not visible and so you can’t tap it to go any further. In other words - you can’t use the app to use the camera! I’m going to email depstech support to see how they respond and maybe even update this review. See the attached screenshot to see what I mean. UPDATE 5 August 2018: The seller responded to my original 1-star review asking me to email the after-sales support who would help. When I told him I had already done that he sent me a different email address to try - the address included with the product was incorrect. After then getting a useless email from support telling me to use the latest version of the iOS app (which I already was) they became very apologetic and promised to fix the iOS app as soon as they could, but in the meantime offered me a full refund as a goodwill gesture without my having to return the product. I accepted the gesture as I would still like to use the product when the app is fixed. So, I have increased the rating from 1- to 3-stars simply for the response the product support team has made and for their genuine desire to make things right. I just hope the device proves to work well once they fix the iOS app!

I bought this to find a leak behind a built in bathroom unit before taking it out to repair the leak. The camera was extremely easy to set up and use without the need of looking at the instructions. I’ve not measure the cable but I would guess it’s about 5 metres long. The cable is very flexible and semi rigid to allow it to be formed into various angles. The picture quality is much better that I expected and the lighting control is very useful.

This was bought to work with an iPhone. It does the job. I did need help from a YouTube demonstration to get started because I hadn't cottoned on that it generates its own wifi signal - you just use settings in the iPhone to seek the signal, then key in the uncomplicated password. It takes a moment or two to connect but then works well. I have been able to check out three nest-box contents so far. Well satisfied.

I only have one problem with this - that I did not buy it sooner!!!The hours wasted digging around in cavities etc trying to find wires etc.Slight lag between you moving and the reaction on screen, but that's only to be expected being WIFI. Paired instantly with the app, and worked out if the box (I haven't charged it yet).Very happy - highly recommended! 😀

Used this ‘scope in far more ways than I ever imagined... good picture & easy to use... inbuilt wi-fi is absolutely rock steady & reliable... don’t look further than this piece of kit - it’s great!

After the first use led's that surround the camera moved and now shine directly into the camera rendering the product useless now. Fantastic product when it works...

Perfect! Got an escaped gecko hiding behind the toilet, I can see him, I’ve filmed him and we tied a bug to the scope to try to lure him out - he ate the bug, bug I’m going to try again in a day or two, we he’s hungry. Great little camera. I would recommend.
