Looks Great and more expensive
I bought this watch due to it's great looks and very low price. I had no great expectations, even though Seconda manufactures some great quality watches. The watch comes in a simple yet a smart looking black cardboard presentation case, and includes an "Instruction Guide and 2 year Guarantee" and a paper "Bracelet Gauge".This watch looks so lively, with a vibrant red and black bezel and classy dial. In fact it looks much better in real life. And I was blown away by the precise second hand alignment with the ticks!! I have not seen such precision from watches costing ten times the price. Maybe I am lucky and have a one off. I have measured any drifting in time over 3 weeks and it still is spot on.The bezel rotates anti-clockwise producing a solid clicking sound. The watch diameter including the bezel is 4cm, and the watch fascia 3cm.My wrist circumference is 19.5cm, and I needed to move the adjustment pin 3 notches tighter (1cm) in order to have a comfortable fit, so the Seconda should fit wrist sizes up to 21 cm maximum.Call me cheap, but I must admit that I really love this watch :)Update 14th May 14: Another point worthy of mention is the 50m water resistance. I have tested this thoroughly and use it for swimming.Uploaded a couple of photos to show how it looks on wrist, and precise second arm in relation to tick on dial.Bottom line:A cheap yet good looking quality watch which functions very well .... and if you have a look at the Rolex Submariner or GMT Master, you might find some similarities (as far as looks go) :)

A great budget sports watch! Pity about the limited water resistance.
This is a great budget watch in the classic Submariner style. The design is simple, and very clean, but well finished. On the whole, it looks and feels like a far more expensive and luxurious offering than the cost suggests.Obviously, the price is one of the more attractive aspects of this watch, but it does have some genuinely good features too. The dial markers are crisp and well printed, and the finishing on the lumed pips and hands is of a high standard. The hands are clear and easily distinguishable, and the date feature is a nice extra. It is "50m" waterproof, which is fine for swimming however despite the dive watch style, I wouldn't want to try taking this watch diving. The case itself is solid, and well proportioned, coming in at around 40mm, which is smaller than most modern divers watches, but far more in line with the classic dimensions of the original watches from which this is inspired.Perhaps the worst feature is the bracelet, followed by the bezel. I personally found the bracelet extremely lacking in quality or substance, but this wasn't a particularly big problem for me, as I planned to exchange it for a strap anyway - it was very simple to remove and I replaced it with a black fabric strap by CWC. I personally use mine in the gym and in the pool, and this strap is far better suited to these environments. However, there's nothing actually wrong with the bracelet, it looks good enough, and it's definitely amongst the best at this price, but it still has that cheap rattly feel. The bezel is also a little lacklustre, compared to others it's quite stiff to operate the clicks, and there's limited purchase due to the relatively shallow cuts of the scalloped edge, it would be much easier to turn if these were deeper to increase the grip on the sides. It is also a little wobbly, you can rock it backwards and forwards a small way within each click. The bezel finish is also a little mediocre, the red and blue finishes both look a little metallic, dull, and flat, rather than the smooth, deep shine of a higher end piece. However, this is an incredibly inexpensive watch and the quality here is still far, far better than I anticipated. Many similar watches don't have a properly locking, unidirectional bezel at all, but one which just slides around. There are a couple of other things that perhaps show the true price of this watch - the rather ineffective glow of the lume which is barely visible at all, even if properly charged, is perhaps one of the more obvious "tells" that this is a £20 watch rather than a £200 or £2000 one. It also lacks the ability to be taken to any real depth as despite its diving watch inspired style, it doesn't have a screw down crown, and the back is snap fit rather than threaded back or one secured with small screws, two features which in general limit the water resistance. It could definitely be done at this price point and indeed if you are looking for a true diving watch, alternatives like the Casio Duro offer a true 200m rating at a comparable cost, although they are perhaps less stylishly proportioned. Equally, the glass is quite reflective, and it picks up smudges easily. In bright light the glass can cause a white, washed-out effect over the dial that limits visibility from certain angles. However, I'd definitely recommend this watch. It's a great casual piece, ideal for taking to the gym, the pool, or for outdoor activities and sports. I imagine that it could definitely work with a suit or other smarter clothes too, if you're a fan of diving watches in the workplace. It offers a really good balance of style and durability that makes it a versatile watch. On a budget, this could comfortably be your only watch to suit almost all situations. I'd say it's most ideal as a watch for students, young adults, as a casual piece, or in environments (e.g. paint shops, garages) where an expensive watch would not be suitable. As a quick summary:Pros------+ Price+ Style+ Easy to read+ Dial printing is crisp and clear+ Overall build quality is good+ Date function and rotating, ratcheted bezel+ Well sized, comfortable to wear+ Some degree of water resistanceCons------- Bracelet is mediocre- Bezel is stiff and can be difficult to turn- Luminescent glow is very poor, almost non-existent- Glass is quite reflective and can "wash out" the dial at certain angles- Limited water resistance belies the traditional diving style

They keep good time, are robust enough to stand a few ...
I've had a number of these over the last 20 years. They keep good time, are robust enough to stand a few years abuse at work, and, when they break or are lost, it's not the big deal the loss of a Rolex or Omega would be. I always get them when they're offered at a discount. My first was £13, the second £20, and this was £16. Super value, and, when I wore my old white faced one to work, my Rolex wearing boss asked which model Rolex it was... He wasn't joking, just getting old, with failing eyesight...Really good value, though after a few years of wearing to work, the chrome plating on the bezel wears, exposing the brass underneath. Still a bargain, though.

Ok for 20 quid
Item arrived early and well packaged. I realise it's only a £20 sub "homage" but I was hoping for a little more. The watch itself seems very nice, ok movement and clear black face. The bezel has quite a lot of movement between clicks and doesn't rest properly over The 12 o'clock position. The strap lets the watch down a lot, will replace with a NATO strap and hopefully this will improve the overall appearance.

Best watch at this price
Incredible value for money. OK there are an infinite number of "diver's" watches out there (or styled as such) and many that are better than Sekonda's offering but if you are just looking for a cheap, basic, well-made, good looking submariner homage then i dont think you can do better at this price point.I found the bracelet a bit rattly and cheap, so I could have dropped a star for this however i always intended to replace it. I have had this watch on a black/red/grey NATO strap and also a silicone diver's strap (either can be found for a few quid) and in my opinion both options made it look and feel more expensive than it is.At 39mm this is more suited to smaller wrists. It fits me fine although i do like a larger watch.Overall, an unbeatable cheap daily watch.
