Automatic safetydevice
For a few years, I have placed these water activated, 500 hr strobes on my tanks. Day or night diving, they mark where you are. Very useful. Preparing for a trip on @ExplorerVentures live-aboard, I noted they required some sort of strobe for night diving, so I purchased four for my family.Always dive with themStay safe; keep your bubbles tiny and the current behind your fins

Great concept, but the one I got refused to work.
This WOULD have been a five star review, because I read reviews and watched YouTube review videos of this item, but the one I received didn’t light up at all… It’s as if the battery didn’t work, or was dead - although unless it sat in water for over 20 days I don’t see how that would be possible. I made sure that both contacts were exposed at the very bottom, tried water, salt water, and saliva… Absolutely nothing. The way this activates is the LED light is expoxied into the bottom of the device, with two copper leads running through the expoxy which the manufacturer cuts a groove in to expose the two copper leads running from the battery. When water covers the two leagues, with your side-by-side, it closes the circuit and the light is activated until the water isn’t there to conduct electricity anymore. It’s a very KISS-able device (keep it simple stupid). I don’t know if the one I got was just bad or the battery had been depleted or what the deal was but I am disappointed. I was hoping to replace my Princeton Tec aquastrobe with this.

Best marker light out there.
This is an all-time favorite light. It gets wet, it turns on. It's plenty bright. The only problem I have, is that it doesn't always shut off. Sometimes I need to blow on it or Shake It Out. This light is designed to work 500 hours. But only lasts about 50 1 hour dives for me. I keep one in my save a dive kit. Because you never know when it's not going to turn on because of a dead battery. I always give my finger and lick and test the contacts before the dive.

Just a great product. Lasts forever
Just a great product. Lasts forever. Easy to use. Just attach to your tank valve and forget it. Starts to blink as soon as it hits the water and stops as soon as it emerges from underwater. DO NOT RELY ON IT AS A SURFACE SIGNAL.

Night diving and low light diving must have
So simple...no on or off switch. Water can't contaminate and flood the battery compartment as with other lights. Clean and easy to use. Lasts forever...I have never seen one of these run out of battery. Very bright. Ample color choices and low price. Nothing is better than a product that functions as it should with high quality and a low price.

Blinks in the water
Inexpensive, flashed while diving. I've only used it for a couple dives so I can't say much yet about durability or battery life. One thing I will note is that the water contacts on the bottom are just rather pointy wires protruding a little bit out of the bottom, so you probably want to watch how exactly you pack it and make sure it can't damage any other gear or those wires on the light itself.

Did not work at all
Went scuba diving yesterday and attached this to my son's tank...hoping it would make it easy to spot him underwater. It never worked. I checked it multiple times during the dive to see if it would start working at deeper depths...nothing. We dunked it into the water tank on the boat too....nothing. So from surface level to 40 ft under.....it never worked at all. Waste of money :(

Great little light.
I purchased this water-activated dive light because it is required for night diving in my location. light can be easily seen and is not so bright as to distract other divers I would say that the light is about the same as you find in an average light stick. My dive buddy was so impressed that she bought one as soon as she saw it. I have only it on a few dives, so I can't attest to the longevity, but since everything regarding this item has been on point, I imagine that 500 hours would likely be close.

Useful/security tool
Excellent item - works perfectly well under water and allows one to be visible by other divers. Thank you!

Super bright at night
This thing is very well lit underwater in night dives as it's specifically designed for night dives. We used while diving during the day in murky water but we could barely see it. At night otherwise it's like a lighthouse and very easy to keep track of your buddies.

Great product! Super bright!
This flashing strobe does exactly what it is supposed to do. Turns on when it touches the water and is very bright. My only disappointment is that I should have bought two.

Just what I needed
The entire assembly is epoxied into the case, leaving a couple wires exposed to sense moisture. Worked perfectly in use, stopping promptly when dried off. Additional attachment options would be great so they could be strapped to an armband instead of dangling on a lanyard.

Work fine and flashing
It works great. It is flashing and bright enough with also grow in dark material, works fine and only concern is the metal wire that comes out. I decided to keep the bag for it
