Snoring Mouthpiece Somnoguard AP 2 - Made in Germany

Amazingly clever. Work a treat but I find it uncomfortable to have in the whole night. I start off with it in and zero snoring. However, if I wake up I find myself taking it out and then I start to snore. If I could keep it in all night but my partner and myself would have a great nights sleep. It is getting easier.

Now sleeping through without apnea like issues. Grotesque snoring level reduced to inoffensive (but not removed). My issue was the apnea so this appears to have mitigated that issue (along with Nozovent for good measure).Looks and feels like a medieval torture device might... but actually not that bad. I can manage to close mouth/lips around it - otherwise intense drooling. Happily also reduces teeth grinding. Allows lateral movement so jaw never feels locked in place. Didn’t work well initially to reduce snoring but adjustment (to extend lower jaw further) worked. No resulting muscle or jaw issues (but some gum issues owing to me not properly fitting it/updating the fit).Moulding process was uncomfortable (hot glue) on day one. Found that it can be uncomfortably snug fit and teeth have moved since... so I need to readjust it again (by repeating initial setup, which I haven’t done). Until I readjust fit, gums can feel upset - so need to sort that.

If you have any degree of overbite you will have problems with this. At the very least you will need to adapt the already complicated fitting instructions and fit the lower part to your lower jaw separately and hope it will all line up when finished. If it does line up, you may then face the problem that there is no adjustment to give you a relaxed, small, advancement you can then adjust forward by increments as recommended, that is, you may be straight into maximum advancement, which (allegedly) will be a difficult adaptation. Worst case (my case) there will be no way to get both sets of teeth making indentations in a way that allows the upper and lower halves to be reconnected and placed in the mouth with teeth properly engaged.I am now facing getting a custom device made for me for three times the cost of this, and the money spent on this was wasted.Shame this information was not obvious when making the purchase. I hope this review compensates for that.

I have tried the Somnofit anti-snoring mouthpiece anti is probably the most comfortable of all 4 I have tried. Unfortunately, although it is two piece it does not allow you to open your mouth while asleep (like the Somnofit) so it becomes disengaged when I am asleep and it wakes me up. It would be a terrific solution if the user has no difficulty in breathing all night through their nose... Unfortunately I can't.

Not the cheapest, but the best quality, and eliminates snoring and sleep apnea. Proper fitment is essential. It should hold teeth snugly and not fall out when correctly molded.

funktioniert wirklich! hab die schiene jetzt 2 wochen im einsatz und gar nicht mehr geschnarcht. wichtig ist die schiene sauber auf den Kiefer anzupassen also heisses wasser ordentlich abdrücke machen. dann passt es. die Muskulatur gewöhnt nach 1 woche dran. nur Mut ich bin sehr zufrieden auch weil seitliche Bewegung möglich ist.

Ich habe einen extrem geringen Würgereflex, bin männlich, 50 Jahre, geschickt, handwerklich begabt.Die Schiene ist nicht mit einer "Knirschschiene" zu vergleichen. Sie vergrößert den Abstand zwischen den Zähnen derart (6mm Schienenabstand+2x2mm Schienenstärke+Restmaterial nach Zusammenbeißen, also mindestens einen Zentimeter), dass ein Schließen der Lippen nur noch mit Anstrengung möglich ist. Schon in der Entspannungsphase beim Einschlafen öffnet sich daher der Mund und trocknet aus. Weiterhin ist sie derart groß, dass sie bei mir bei geringster Bewegung einen Würgereflex auslöst. Die "Erstellung" der Schiene ist aufwändiger als gedacht und das Aufschrauben der nur 4mm großen Kontermutter auf die Schraube etwas für Feinmechaniker (warum diese nicht bereits bei Lieferung aufgeschraubt ist, ist mir unverständlich. Wer die Schiene trotzdem kauft: Vorher nachdenken, wo man die Mutter aufschraubt, fällt einem diese herunter, findet man diese wohl nie wieder und kann das ganze in die Tonne treten, eine zweite Mutter liegt nicht bei. Da für mich unbrauchbar nur ein Stern.

Die Schiene ist leicht anzupassen und hilft auch sehr gut gegen Schnarchen. Nur verträgt sich das Material nicht mit meinen Schleimhäuten an den inneren Lippen. Die fühlen sich aufgeraut und trocken an. Ich kann die Schiene maximal zwei-drei Tage am Stück tragen und muss dann eine Woche pause machen, bis es wieder verträglich wäre. Ich habe sie daher weggegeben.
