Worth the money so far, minor annoyances.
After buying my 5th handgun, I figured it was time to start looking for a gun safe, but not your dads or granddad's gunsafe. This baby is high tech!!The setup was very easy, the instructions were clear and to the point. They do a great job of leading you in the right direction towards configuring it the way YOU want it. The biometric option is totally worth getting, especially in a moment's notice. Being able to configure the sounds and lighting to stay stealthy in the night is very helpful. The impact detector has 3 configuration settings, including off. I keep mine on my nightstand so setting it to High sensitivity made it go nuts when I set my keys down next to it, so Medium might be best for most non-paranoid people. One of my very small annoyances is the fact that my Canik TP9-SFX cannot fit into the rack with a magazine in it. The +2 magazine extension makes the gun rise in the back and brushes against the drawer on top. However, I bought another rack so I can house my Taurus PT1911 (with compensator), Taurus PT92 ( with compensator), and M&P Shield 9mm. My Glock 19 is my carry gun and can easily sit on the top drawer since it gets the most fresh air. In a tight squeeze, I would have to reach for anyone but the Canik since it'll be the only empty one in the safe, but there's plenty of room to keep the magazines for it so, small annoyance. The other small annoyance is the mobile app. Can't speak for the iOS version but the Android version could be better. It makes you setup a security pattern to access the app in case your phone is ever lost or stolen, strangers couldn't get into the app and unlocked the safe, great idea!! Problem is I've had to uninstall and reinstall the app 3 times now because it wouldn't take my pattern after I've set it up. I find that I have to draw the pattern VERY SLOWLY in order for it to accept it. But hey, once you're in, you can make configurations very easily and it provides very useful information about your safe when you're near it.Right now I'm very happy with this safe, looks tough and keeps people out while looking good, what more can you ask for? I'm recommending to all my friends who are gun nuts.

Broke in less than a year, Overpriced and un reliable
Please do not waste your money on this safe like I did. The safe itself was okay when I first purchased it, but at 11 months it no longer opens with my finger print. The battery is fully charged, I enrolled the same finger in multiple profiles to overcome any scan issues. The mechanism itself is no longer releasing the door, which I find useless in a gun safe. For this amount of money, you shouldn't expect to run into problems in the first year. It's overpriced and unreliable.

Not worth it: not great as a safe (expected), not very smart (unexpected)
I bought this knowing it's not a great safe: no fireproofing, no waterproofing. You can buy an equivalent sized fireproof and waterproof safe for half the money ($250ish).I bought this expecting a smart product. It's nicely built and finished, the packaging is "Apple-like", but the smartness isn't there: the phone app is clunky and full of bugs (from sign-up to getting it on wi-fi to the control you have over the notifications and the multitude of buggy notifications: I have a smaller Vaultek as well, and the fingerprint reader is not reliable enough, at least not more so than just entering a numeric code, so I ordered the non-biometric version of this MX... and I get a ton of notifications about tampering because of invalid fingerprint attempt... on a safe with no fingerprint reader). So what I'm left with is a pretty, thin, metal box with an electronic lock that costs over $500.I liked the idea of it, but the implementation is lacking. Not worth the money. Sad to have to go to a traditional safe, but if I am to have a "dumb" safe, at least it can be half the price and fireproof and waterproof...

Highly unreliable fingerprint sensor
The first Vaultek Pro MXi High Capacity Biometric safe box I received had previously been opened. Eventually found out why -- the fingerprint sensor did not work. Received a replacement, and it had the same issue. Terrible fingerprint sensor and quality control. And yes, I know what I'm doing. I successfully set up other Vaultek safes with similar or same fingerprint sensors.

Very spacious and high tech safe. Recommended despite price.
This is a great and spacious safe. Set up is easy and straight forward. However, be warned, the key sometimes catches before going in all the way and it turns giving you the impression that you have opened the lock but nothing happens. The key needs to be inserted COMPLETELY before turning. Honestly, you are unlikely to use the key much, but it is essential to open the safe in the first place to insert the battery. Now, going back to the safe. There is quite a bit of room. I inserted three of their foam racks. The racks hold full size guns well. My 1911s fit well. The only gun that I would put in upright is my FN 45 Tactical. Depth for the FN is fine but the sights are tall and would only fit I removed the shelf drawer. The shelf drawer is great and I did not want to remove it. I have magazines and two pocket carry weapons on the drawer shelf.Overall, I am very happy with the safe. It is on the pricey side, but seeing the other stuff out there, I would say “You get what you pay for.”
