A great choice for scuba diving in cooler waters, this pair of SEAC Pro HD neoprene wetsuit boots have a 6mm thickness and provide excellent protection with their rigidly molded, high-grip sole that's extremely impenetrable. These boots also feature excellent arch support and a heel air bubble that helps reduce stress. They're easy to get in and out of thanks to the easy-to-grip zipper and reinforced hook-and-loop closure on the side of the boot, which ensure your boot remains closed while diving. These cold water boots can handle waters with temperatures of 50 to 60 degrees F. Founded in Italy in 1971, SEAC proudly continues to take the lead in producing high-quality diving gear and ensures that each and every product is individually verified and tested.

Used for Tech1 Swift Water Rescue Training -
Bought these for a three day swift water tech1 rescue training class. While they seem to be well made, there were a few cons for the application we were using them for. While they may work fine for training, I do NOT recommend them if you plan on using them for swift water rescue. The grip was not very good for river use. On dry-land they grip great, but not in the river. It was very slippery while on any wet rock, while some other water boots were not. No ankle support which is a big problem for river use. They would probably work great though as intended for a dive boot. Not for using in rocky rivers or rough terrain do to the lack of grip and support. One plus is the thickness of the soul. I stepped on a fishing lure with medium size hooks and it did not go through to injure my foot. They also were warmer than some others boots in the 40-60 deg temp.

VERY versatile and EXTREMELY comfortable. Size runs .25-.5 small [like a dive boot]
I compared at least 6 different rain boots, mud boots and different sizes in some. They were sizes 9, 10, 11 etc. Depends on the manufacturer:For our purposes here I will compare size 10 in:1. Seac 6mm, 2. Guide Gear, 3. Crocs AllCast, 4. Hisea, 5. Servus Comfort tech, 6. LaCrosse Diamondback snake proofTo be be fair, the LaCrosse is the most uncomfortable because it is a more rigid snake proof boot. Safety first, comfort last. That being said there is a better, more versatile and just as safe alternative. I'll try to remember to add it in here later.Back to the boots.I'm going to rank these for ease of scanning reviews [I know I read hundreds trying to find the items].All Size 10: In all of the boots, if you want to use your sole insert order one size up. Except Hisea seemed to fit size 10 with insert [i.e., it runs a size+ large].1. Seac 6mm dive boot: fits like a shoe and almost looks like one. Nice full rubber sole. Size 10 is snug on this 9.5-10 foot [that's with sock. Took the sock off and was perfect. Wet foot little difficult to get in but slide your fingers down your foot or use a plastic grocery bag over foot]. Can wear zipped on side for real water proof needs or unzipped walking/hiking around. Yes Hiking! These are great for Fossil hunting in shorts, wearing under BuzzOff pants, with wading overalls to stay dry in summer or winter [6mm], or walking on beaches with shells or while diving coral reefs. VERY versatile. ALL the other boots are not meant to be worn in water deeper than @12". The Crocs maybe 6". If you say you want boots to hunt/hike I'd say buy the Crack Shot Snake Guardz and wrap over these and your jeans [or bare even legs} MUCH more comfortable and versatile.2. Guide Gear: fits slightly looser than Seac. Very comfortable with over calf boot [calf area appears large enough to fit the guy on the insurance commercial with the calk implants] Fits like a true size 10. Plenty of room in toe. just a little pressure on top of the foot. If you're dead set on a traditional "mud boot" look these are a great choice. Plenty of room to stuff your pant legs into the contoured calf area. I'd then add the Snake Guardz over that.3. Crocs AllCast [after this it's a distant 4th etc] Size 10 fits like size 11 maybe 10.75. Size 9.0 fits okay I guess like a 9.25. They are comfortable and I could wear either around the house. The 10's flop a lot though and heel slide even in 9.0's. Very comfy but whats the purpose of half calf in these? More of a walk the dog or walk to work, If you're going in streams it will fill up.4. Hisea: perplexing. Kind of comfortable sole but size 10 is more like an 11.5. And bulky, and foot area doesn't seem to have enough curve to it. Be difficult to get a good fit unless you ordered at least three pair to try on. I'd think the mud would just suck this boot in, especially if in the water when it fills up.5. Servus "Comfort" Technology: Heavy. Rubber sole not bad. Okay if you just need to slip on to get something out of car. Wouldn't want to walk far. VERY wide calf opening. Your wife could probably stuff her purse in there.6. LaCrosse Diamondback snake proof boots: If I was going in snake infested area and I didn't have time to order on Amazon I'd wear these. But wow, heavy, stiff and uncomfortable. The ONLY option I found to wear on it's own, with waders for waterproof fishing/hunting/hiking or fossil/relic hunting [not brand] that covers ALL the bases [Functionality, comfort, ankle support and WATERPROOF...as in water can't come in over the top of the boot] is the Seac.I will add photo of all boots for visual comparison efficiency. Hope that helps.Good luck and let me know what else you'd like reviewed. Since my three Strokes I don't get out much.Carpe Diem. This is one of first days I have ever done a review. Please give a "Helpful" up vote.

Very comfortable to wear and fit perfectly
Just got my set today and I'm impressed. Very comfortable to wear and fit perfectly. I'm a size 11 in most shoes and purchased the large pair. If your an 11 I recommend dropping the extra cash on xl just to give your toes some extra room.

Best Scuba boots ever!!!!
At beginning, before ordered them I was little expectical about how their hard sole be, how comfortable their are, etc...These are 2nd boots pair, I bought like a gift to my wife, I have mine ones since January and I'm in dive business and I usually dive 12 to 20 times a week, that means I tried these boots for enough time on very hevy use. These boots are amazing, very solid, so confortable, look very pro...I'll buy them again without hesitase!!!

Great fit...well made booties
I REALLY LIKE THESE BOOTIES. These were the most robust ones that I could find. I was particularly interested in getting a pair that have a tough sole, as we’ve got oysters around here that they may have to contend with. These are certainly up for the challenge. I was worried that they’d either be too small or too large considering the sizing that they come in (small, medium, or large). I normally wear a size 8 shoe so I ordered a small. They fit very well. They’re slightly large in the toe area which works out well, because if booties are even slightly on the small size, my feet tend to cramp when finning. I will definitely order them again when the time comes.

Built to last...
These are perfect for colder water. I use them while gold panning in New England and my feet stay nice and warm. Perfect fit, too! Also, the hard bottoms protect the feet from sharp rocks. Glad I went with these. No regrets!

Well Made But Size Might Be An Issue
I got these to wear as work boots under wet conditions. They are well made with a thick sole and heavy zipper. I expect that they will last a long time.SIZING: I wear size 11 in a street shoe, but I usually get a size 12 for a work boot because I wear thick socks with boots. So, I ordered the X-Large size, but they were too small and tight. I sent them back and got the XX-Large size. which are a perfect fit with my thick socks.

Must have
Why haven't these been in my life for years? I've always wanted a pair of decent soled neoprene boots, to the point that some dive and surf sites I have actually worn walking boots. These are brilliant, I've used for coasteering, surfing and diving. Also for floundering around in the sea with the kids. This are very well made have awesome soles that deal with any surface. Fins fit well. And they are comfortable. At a very good price.

So comfy and warm
Oh my word! Fabulous boots! We train in a lake with huge boulders underfoot. These boots were great as I can’t feel a single sharp edge like I did with my old pair. Was recommended these by a fellow water trainer, I have since recommended them to a friend!

great footwear
These boots are fantastic to protect the foot especially the instep. Walking on rocks from a shore based dive. Just the job. I rate these 5 star.
