starting to freeze up
(update): Starting to freeze up a lot.The Rikomagic MK602 Is a good Roku companion. We have been using this little box for a little over a week. It sits next to our roku 3 on top of the tv. So far we have used it to check email, surf the web, Skype, and watch stuff that is not on the roku. You can add apps from the google play store to your tv. It works like a big tablet. We added a weather app, youtube, and a few others. I watched a few episodes of duck dynasty straight from the A&E app with no issues. My wife watched a horse show straight from a website and it worked great. We are using it with the Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 with Built-In Multi-Touch Touchpad . It doesn't come with a remote or keyboard you have to get that separately.Positives:*It is small, it looks like a mini xbox connect.*It provides services the Roku doesn't.*It has 2 USB ports and Bluetooth.*It is fast. It gets a good signal on top of the tv.*It seems stable. It has locked up once. However, it rebooted on it own after about a minute.Negatives:*The camera stinks. We were hoping to Skype from the living room instead of the office. The outgoing picture is unbearable and it doesn't seem to do that well over our wireless network. It did do better when I connected to it with an Ethernet cable. However, it's not good compared to the computer we normally use for Skype.*It doesn't come with a remote.*the logo is way to big on the front on the unit.Final thoughts:I love this technology, I think in the next few years this is going to be big. The live wallpapers look great on our flat screen. I am disappointed with the camera. As for the Roku 3. The things it does it does so well I can't think of replacing it with this box. The MK602 is not a Roku killer. It is a great companion box and I hope it continues to be so.

Terrible. A big waste of time.
Looked for something to easily do skype through big screen TV for the entire family to enjoy as we have family in a different continent. At first it was a good idea... hey, skype and android... that means youtube, emails, web browsing, netflix, ... everything offered with android. including vieweing/sharing pictures through dropbox, viewing my ip cameras on my big screen, etc. This is a great idea over a universal skype equipment as it has a built-in camera. As it turned out, the idea is still great (as I will be looking to get other android stick which accepts external usb webcam). I can play movie from my dlna server set up on another computer... it's an android tablet on my big screen tv, that's what I told my brothers.HOWEVER, this unit is terrible. I would be surprised if it was ever tested. skype frequently freezes up. I had to uninstall skype that came with it and install the newest skype. Still it freezes up. ok, so may be the firmware needs to be updated. I got a usb-to-usb cable which takes 3 days so I can upgrade the firmware from rikomagic. I did that. I thought all is well. no, it still freezes up after 10' of skype.ok, maybe it's skype that doesn't play well with this unit. Tonight, I finally have time to sit down and watch a movie. I was watching a movie streaming from my dlna media server. It plays well for 30' ... then it freezes up. Well, maybe it's a glitch. After all, android has glitches. I restarted the unit and continue watching my movie... after 15' later, it freezes up again.Everytime it freezes up, I have to unplug and plug the unit back in as the on/off button is not really functional (I still don't know what it does). I have had it. I'm packing this thing up to return to amazon. I hope amazon accepts it as I had already thrown out the box (because I had no plan to return it). I'm sending it back out tomorrow and I swear never to deal with rikomagic again.
