OXO Good Grips Silicone Coasters, 8 Pack

I just got these coasters to replace our thirsty stone ones that kept being pulled off the tables by the now quite mobile 11 month old baby. So my requirements were sturdy but not so sturdy that they would cause the same potential toe smashing capability of the thirsty stones. Turns out I really like these. Not only are they silicone and safe for the baby but they are dishwasher safe. Furthermore, the things actually work well! They have some grip to them so the coasters stay in place, as well as the cups and glasses placed on them. And the design of them allows for the collection of condensation, kept away from the furniture. Highly recommended.

These coasters do exactly what they should and more. I moved into a house with nice hard wood floors and a bought a nice new table. The first time I saw a ring of condensation on the floor at my feet from a glass of water I new I needed something. The oxo coasters catch the condensation. They are made of silicone so they cannot be damaged over time. They can easily by rinsed in the sink or thrown in the dishwasher. They are also nice and flexible.To be honest they make a better teether than any teether we purchased for my five month old. They are the perfect size for his little grip and he won't choke. They can easily be sanitized and they are soft enough he won't hurt his gums as he chews. We dedicated the green coasters to teething. That way no one is surprised when their coaster is wet because of baby.

These are the perfect coasters! I was searching for a long time for good looking coasters that are made with a soft material, easy to wash and have a great price.I LOVE these coasters! Black is a very classy looking color. These coasters are easy to wash.I like that you can use either side and that they are soft (they don't scratch the table).When your drink is really cold or wet, the coasters contain the water droplets and the table does not get wet.Best of all the prices was great for 8 coasters. I saw a similar set of 6 coasters at a store in the city that I am living in for $40! So I feel I got a really good deal and saved a lot of money by ordering these coasters online.

These coasters do a great job at preventing condensation on the outside of your glasses from ending up on your furniture. The coasters are channeled to both hold moisture and prevent the coaster from sticking to the bottom of your glass when you pick it up. The rubberized material ensures the coaster stays in place on your table and doesn't slide around. As far as coasters are concerned, they serve their purpose well. The only issue I have is that they aren't very eye-catching. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find coasters that are both functional and attractive. These coasters have a very contemporary look to them, which doesn't necessarily go with all decors. I find that alot of the stone coasters may be more attractive, but don't do as good of a job at keeping your furniture dry. Therefore, I ultimately went with function over form, since protecting your furniture is the number one purpose of a coaster. Getting 8 coasters for that price is a great deal. These coasters are very functional.

I purchased these coasters after trying 3 different kinds. I tried the yarn twirls - they just get damp and hold moisture against your wood, I tried the wood coasters- they get moldy and they also stick to your glass, and I tried the ceramic with cork bottom- they let water flow over he edge and get the table damp. These keep condensation right on the coaster, they do not stick to your glass, they do not slide across the table, and they are washable. They are a floppy, rubber material with tread. They are the same top and bottom. The "tread" lets condensation flow off the glass and holds it on the coaster. I love these coasters! They are not the most beautiful, since there is no design and they only come in black, but they are the best I've ever tried.

These were to replace a previous set of silicone coasters that started to crack and break apart. I didn't want cork because it can only absorb so much before it seeps through or warps the coaster. I also have a couple of 'thirsty stone' style coasters that seem okay, but water still runs off them when they're picked up.I looked at a lot of styles and brands, and finally settled on these because they seemed like they would actually hold liquid from sweating glasses and be big enough for any glass we'd use. They are a little smaller than the previous silicone ones, but they're still big enough for even our oversized mugs. They also seem to hold a lot of liquid. So far we haven't had any run-over even though they're smaller. I think that's probably due to the concave design; the middle is flexible and thin enough to form a shallow dip regardless of which side is up. They are more flexible than the rigid ones I had, so it just takes paying a little attention when you have to pick one up to empty it. I like that they're softer silicone because they don't slide around and I think they'll also not become brittle like my old ones did. They rinse off easily and can be tossed in the dishwasher. I really like the subdued colors. I really debated because I like matching, and I preferred all brown or black, but now I like the little pops of color on my tables. They're easy to spot, but they're also not garishly bright. I'll likely buy another set because I'd like to use them the bathrooms under soap dispensers, etc.
